1. Physical hazards: Physical hazards are factors that cause physical injury to
the body and harm the employee, by touch or without touch, such as
working at heights, electricity, sharp objects, wet surfaces, and ultraviolet
radiation. There are many physical hazards in the Gulf Petrochemical
Services and Trade Company, such as working at a height that may cause a
fall from heights that cause injuries to an employee or his death. To control
this problem, conduct tool box talks, ensure proper supervision, and while
working on top of the vehicles, use the full body harness and anchor at a
firm place.

2. Chemical hazards: Chemicals harm humans or the environment on the

human side, causing irritation, cancer or burns due to the entry of toxic
substances into our bodies through inhalation, ingestion, absorption or
injection, and on the other hand, their impact on the environment. It causes
environmental pollution and property damage. There are many chemical
hazards in the Gulf Petrochemical Services and Trade Company, such as
dealing with diesel spillage and soil pollution that causes health effects, skin
diseases, and damage to the environment. To control this problem, keep
your face away from harmful fumes while draining oil from the engine,
ensure an eyewash station with fresh water is available at the location, and
collect the used oil in a barrel and keep it in a designated area with a sign.

3. Biological hazards: They are bacteria, animal bites, insects, mold, or viruses
that cause health problems for humans by inhaling, eating, or touching the
skin. There are many biological hazards at the Gulf Petrochemical Services
and Trade Company, such as the Corona virus in 2021. Corona virus causes
many health problems for employees that may lead to death. Gulf
Petrochemical and Trading Company dealt with the Corona virus by
establishing strict laws, including the obligation to wear a mask, use
sterilizers and reduce the number of workers in the work environment.

4. Psychosocial hazards: Psychological hazards are problems or pressures at
work that affect an employee, making him lose his focus on work, which puts
him in danger. The Gulf Petrochemical Services and Trade Company reduced
psychological hazards by providing them with places to rest near the
workplace, providing them with drinking water at the workplace, and not
putting pressure on employees at work.
