humans and produces a better and healthier place to

SKETCH

This bus station uses the concept of open space. the


location of the bus stop is slightly back from the road
so that when the bus stops it doesn't cause traffic. The
shape of the station's roof drops to the center so that
rainwater does not get on the road and pedestrian
areas
Behind this bus station there is a pedestrian area for
pedestrians. Next to the station there are also
crosswalks to cross the street and for passengers to
get on and off buses from the opposite direction

BUS STOP DESIGN FEATURES BUILT-IN WIFI, MOBILE PHONE
CHARGING POINTS, INTERACTIVE SMART BOARDS THAT PROVIDE BUS
INFO CONTENT, E-BOOKS, JOURNEY PLANNERS, A GREEN ROOF,
SOLAR PANELS, BICYCLE PARKING, A BOOK EXCHANGE CORNER, AND
EVEN A SWING. IT ALSO SHOWCASES ARTWORK BY LOCAL
ILLUSTRATOR LEE XIN LI. LOCATED ALONG JURONG GATEWAY ROAD

BUS RAPID TRANSIT (BRT) STATION IN CEBU, PHILIPPINES. THIS IS


THE FIRST MAJOR PUBLIC TRANSIT SYSTEM TO EVER BE
DEVELOPED IN CEBU. THIS BUS STATION USING OPEN SPACE
CONCEPT WITH MINIMUM FURNITURE TO MAKE A BIGGER HUMAN
CIRCULATION. THIS MODULAR SYSTEM OF BUS STATIONS TAKES
ITS DESIGN FROM ANCIENT BASKET WEAVING TRADITIONS OF
CEBU. THE CEBU BRT PROJECT WILL SIGNIFICANT IMPROVE
SIDEWALKS, CROSSWALKS, AND PUBLIC LIGHTING THROUGHOUT
THE STREETS OF CEBU, WHILE ALSO ADDRESSING SOME SERIOUS
PROBLEMS, SUCH AS DAMAGING STREET FLOODING. ALLEVIATING
THE STRESS OF RAIN ON THE STREETS AND SIDEWALKS. AT THE
SAME TIME, THE ROOF ALSO ACTS AS A SOURCE OF SHADE,
SHIELDING CIVILIANS FROM THE INTENSE HEAT AND EXTREME

ACROSS AT THE HEAD AND MID POINT. FROM THE CENTRE POINT THE SPARS CURVED IN A
SYMMETRICAL SHAPE TO FORM THE ICONIC WING SHAPE. THE FABRIC WAS FIXED TO THE STEELWORK
VIA SPECIALIST ALUMINIUM PROFILE DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY BY ARCHITEN LANDRELL AND BOLTED
TO THE TOP OF THE ROLLED SPARS. BENEATH THE CANOPY PRESS FORMED ALUMINIUM CLADDING

FOR THE CANOPY MATERIALS, THIS STATION USING PTFE GLASS. PTFE
COATED GLASS HAS BECOME ESTABLISHED AS ONE OF THE HIGHEST
