BT’s unique lifetime guarantee, gives the customer 99-years
guarantee on the fork frame, valid for defects in material and welding
faults which can be derived from manufacturing.
The guarantee on the pump unit and tow bar is extended to five years.
No other manufacturer gives the same level of guarantees.
The other components are also covered by generous guarantees.

Wheel selection – single or bogie wheel?

To a large extent, the selection of the fork wheels depends on applica-
tion experience or traditions in the market.
Single wheels are preferred on even floors
and enables easy turning. The wear on a
single wheel, however, is higher. A single
wheel is always combined with a climbing
wheel at the fork tip for easy handling of
pallets on the long side.
Bogie wheels travel better on uneven floors. As the load is distributed on
more wheels (less point load and point friction), individual wheel wear is
reduced.

Nylon
Easy rolling wheel on hard, even floors. Hard and durable, best choice
when the load is heavy.

Rubber
Makes the hand truck very
quiet and also provides good Nylon Rubber Steel Powerthane Polyuretan

grip on wet/slippery floors,

however it is also sometimes
harder to pull the truck. Only
available for the steer wheel,
not for the fork wheels.

Steel
Suitable for heavy industry. Easy rolling wheel that prevents chips or
small items from sticking to the wheel. Note that it will, in many cases,
give a higher noise level, but also a very long life time.

Powerthane
Combines noiseless travel with high wear resistance.

Polyuretan
Generally preferred when a low noise level is required. This softer wheel
may make heavy loads slightly harder to pull.

 Options

Pump
Q Pump with quick lift function. The forks reach the pallet surface
at the first stroke of the handle and lift the pallet with the second
stroke. Only five strokes are required to reach maximum lift
height to be compared with twelve strokes for the STD.

O Pump with overload valve that prevents exceeding the maxi-

mum lift capacity of 2300 kg.

QO Quick lift and overload can be combined.

X Hand brake. Hand-operated with identical braking power on

both steer wheels. Can be locked in parking position. Reversed
brake available on special request.

Several of these versions can be combined.

60 years experience of the most durable lifter and BT is still
searching for improvements!
• Long term test continuous lifting and lowering a load of rated capacity
without any maintenance, ends at approx. 50 000 cycles.

The BT test program includes:

• Hydraulic test (module test).
• Complete machine test.
• Leakage test (pump hanging up side down).
• Handle test (module test).
• Steering test (± 90° turning of the pump unit).
• Cold store test.

The BT Lifter Silent generates a maximum noise level of 60dBA accord-
ing to the testing guidelines of the Dutch PEAK programme, and is there-
fore certified accordingly.
Recommended and certified truck specification for silent operation:
• Chassis with noise reducing material and rubber studs/bushings.
• Steer wheels in rubber and bogie fork wheels in Powerthane.
