Route 1

- You are at the chemist’s at Plaça dels Pins. Walk towards the bus station at Plaça
dels Pins and take the first street on your right. Pass by four streets on your right and
when you get at a junction, take it left. Your place 1 is there, at the first corner on
your right. It is a very big and old building. Nowadays it is used for exhibitions, shows
and any other kind of cultural activity.

For place 2, take the first street on your right. Walk up to the end of the street, turn
right (because there is no other possibility) and go round the corner. Then take it left
and walk until the following street in front of you. Walk left and there, on your right, it
is your place 2. It is a very special place in green-and-white-check tiles with many
windows and a metal structure. It is a place where you can buy fresh products.

Now you have to head for place 3, walk straight ahead up to the end of the street.
Your place 3 is in the building at the right corner. It is the building where there was a
hospital, a church and an orphanage in the old times. Nowadays it is a place where you
can borrow books and learn many things.

For place 4, you need to take the street on your right. Then, take the first on your left
and you get at a square. Take their first street on your left. There are many arches in
this street. Walk all the way until you reach the end of this street and get to another
square with a monument that commemorates a very important event in the history of
Ciutadella. Place 4 is just there, at the left side corner. It is an old palace with a
spectacular facade divided in three parts, with nice columns, oval balconies and a line
of small windows on its upper part. There are shops in the basement and the upper
floor can be visited.
