PSW Assessment Term 3 2023 (Formal assessment)

Dear parent’s
Learners will learn about festivals and Customs this term. All grade 5 learners must make a
poster of any Festival of their choice. Please ensure that learners hand projects in on time.
The project counts towards their term 3 final mark.

Due date for Projects: 10th & 11th August 2023

Make a colourful poster about a religious festival. Your poster must have drawings, pictures or
photographs. It must give information about:

➢ What the festival is called?

➢ Which religion it is part of?
➢ When the festival is celebrated?
➢ What does the festival symbolises?
➢ How do people celebrate the festival? (Types of food etc.)

Criteria for marking

Criteria 8 – 10 6–7 4–5 2–3 0–1 Marks

Presentation: Learner has
made a colourful, attractive,
clear, well presented poster /5
about a religious festival.
Visuals: Learner has included
drawings, pictures or
photographs (they do show /5
important details about the
chosen religion)
Information: Learner has
included information to
answer the questions (Name
of the festival, religion that
the festival is part of, when is / 10
the festival held, what it
symbolises and how people
celebrate it?)
