RDA issues notices to 4 illegal housing schemes.

RDA warned sponsors to immediately stop marketing of illegal housing schemes.
Penalty for illegal development will be continue till the defaulter remains.
RAWALPINDI, April 28, 2023: On the directions of the Director General, Rawalpindi Development
Authority (RDA), Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, the Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering
(MP&TE) Directorate RDA has issued notices to the owners of four illegal private housing schemes namely
Pak Sar Zameen Town at Chakri Road, Century Town Housing Scheme, Rawat City Housing Scheme and
Al-Buraq Enclave at Rawat Rawalpindi, RDA spokesman said.
Moreover, the sponsors are also warned immediately to stop the marketing of their unapproved / illegal
housing schemes and should contact RDA for getting NOC / approval of the scheme as per law, otherwise,
strict legal action will be taken against them.
He said RDA has lodged First Information Reports (FIRs) against illegal two housing schemes namely Pak
Sar Zameen Town at Chakri Road and Century Town at Rawat. He said the DG RDA has also directed the
Director MP&TE that action may be taken against illegal advertisements and marketing and FIRs will also
be filed against the owners of other illegal housing schemes.
He said another housing scheme South City Developers is advertising on social media. It is informed that
this housing scheme is in District Attock, its not in RDA Controlled area. He said that on the directions of
the DG RDA Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, the public is advised in their interest to avoid making any kind
of investment in illegal and unauthorized housing schemes. He said that the public is also advised to check
from RDA before investing in housing schemes. It can also be checked on the RDA
website www.rda.gop.pk.
He said that the owners and sponsors of illegal housing schemes are misleading the public through
advertisements. In this regard, the Planning Wing RDA has also requested the Cyber Crime Wing, FIA to
take legal action against the illegal and misleading advertisements of these illegal housing schemes to
prevent the public from falling in their scams.
He said the above-mentioned offences committed by the owners of illegal housing schemes and also
cognizable under rule 37 of Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Schemes Rules, 2021. The
penalty for illegal development will be continue till the defaulter remains, he added.
