EXCRETORY SYSTEM

The excretory system is the process of removing metabolic waste products that are no
longer used by the body. This substance can be in the from of carbon
dioxide, urine, urea, sweat and other compounds that aere toxic (poisons). If not
removed, all these substances will accumulate in the body and have the potential to
cause health problems.Human excretory organs are divided into
kidneys, lungs, liver, skin.Kidney is one of the human excretory organs. The kidneys
receive blood from a pair of renal arteries, and the blood exits via the renal veins. Each
kidney is connected to a ureter, the tube that carries urine out to the bladder. As a means
of excretion, the kidneys will carry out three stages in the disposal process, including
filtration,re-absorption and collection (augmentation) which are further explained in
the book human organ biology series-kidney & Bladder. At this stage of filtering or
filtration, the kidneys filter fluid in the blood, before finally returing to the heart and
lungs.the filtered liquid is primary urine which still contains water, glucose, and amino
acids.but it does not contain protein and blood.then re-absorption or re-absorption
occurs in a part of the kidney called the proximal convoluted tubule.here the proximal
convoluted tubule reabsorbs substances that are still needed by the body. The result of
the reabsorption process is secondary urine.collection or augmentation in this stage
there is a collection of fluids that have been carried out in the previous stages.this is the
last stage and occurs in the distal convoluted tubule.the liquid produced by this stage
is in the form of real urine. There are some disorders or diseases of the kidneys, for
example kidney stones.kidney stones are solid masses like stones that from along the
urinary tract.these stones can also from in the kidneys.
