A Survey report on factor effecting girl’s

education in rural areas in India.


INTRODUCTION
Educating young women not only empowers them, but also improves the quality
of life of a woman’s family and her community. This article discusses the
importance of educating female children in India in rural area. There is ample
evidence worldwide that improvements in girls' education benefit the status of
the family and empower women. It urged access to and improvement in the
quality of education of girls and women to remove obstacles that hamper active
participation

•To establish the extent to which socio-economic factors affect girls


participation in secondary education.
. To establish the extent to which distance from school affects girls
participation in secondary education.
. To determine extent to which parents’ level of education affects
girlchild participation in secondary education.

• Sampling Unit : individual Varanasi and Basti.
• Sampling Size : 100
• Sampling Method : Survey
RELEVANCE OF STUDY
. Educating a girl changes her destiny, as well as those of her future
children, and ensures that she can contribute to the economic life of
her community.
.Girls in rural areas of India are excluded from education not because of
cultural resistance or unwillingness, but also because of poverty

LIMITATION
.small sample size. There is a high probability that the respondents
might have given biased responses.
