701 Client Quick Guide

After device is online through 701 Server setting, configure your site
plan for door and floor access control system (user access mode and
701 Client access level), crowd management, time attendance, and site plan map
monitoring system (SCADA).

1. Introduction to Download Function


Every data that you change via Software need to be saved,

but the saved data is only stored on the PC. To make
controller recognize and synchronize all settings between
PC and the controllers, you need to make sure to Download
to Controller after doing configuration or change data. That
way, controller could recognized the saved data and act

2. Adding a User
E Lock: When you are editing the user data, please tick “Lock” to
avoid window switching (if not ticked, when there is a valid card
presented to the access controller, the “User Data Edit”
window will automatically switch to the corresponding user data
window).
Auto Save Card ID: This function is only available when the card
is presented at the access controller of door number 001. If this
option is ticked, the card ID will be automatically shown in the
window after it is presented at the access controller of door
number 001. If batches of cards are presented continuously,
these cards will be shown at the corresponding user address in
an accumulative order, which allows you to add cards more
efficiently.
Search Tool: To type a piece of information on the User Card
Edit to quickly track the searched user with related search

STEP 1. Input User Data
With many fields to input the User Data, the must fill field is: Name, Card UID, and Access Mode
(Card Only).
Basic Information: name, alias (name displayed on LCD, controller without LCD does not required to
fill this field as it will not be shown), employee ID, department, email address (please insert this field
with valid email address for email notification features), birthday, etc.
Access Type: RFID Tag, PIN, fingerprint, QR Code, face (coming soon).
Soyal access control and reader provides multiple Access Mode to choose according to the
supported devices. Soyal access control and reader shares common feature that is built-in on every
device which is RFID.

RFID Tag:
Site Code - Card Code (must fill. If you are only using Fingerprint access or any other access other than RFID, please
virtually enter this number to whatever number and do not leave it blank)
PIN:
For controller with keypad, enter/exiting can be proceed with entering PIN as well.
Just Card Control & Just Fingerprint:
Both is suitable for Fingerprint access that recognize only card for access (Just Card Control) or/and use only
fingerprint for access (refer to RFID tag explanation above).

QR Code:
701 Client generates QR Code when you entering a Card UID. Click the QR Code Save button and the
generated QR Code is saved into C:\Program Files (x86)\701Client\PopGra with file name QRCodeXXXX.jpg
(XXXX=user address, if it is user address 0001 then it will show as QRCode0001.jpg). Each time Card UID is
changed and press Save, the QR Code saved will be replaced with the new one.

Access Mode:
We offer a multiple access mode that varies from card only, card+pin (must swipe card
and enter PIN afterwards), card or pin. Invalid means this user does not have any access.
Advanced Setting - Assigned Access: assigned access is more secure and restriction setting for access time zone ,
access Door Group, anti-passback, lift floor access, and guard access; that differ between one user and another.
This advanced setting is useful for Building Automation in ACS that required authorization level for access.

Access Time Zone:


give permission to access for particular user during particular time that has been set up on B. Time Zone Edit.
You can configure up to 63 time zone in total. H series provides XXX time zone, E series provides XXX time zone.
ALL means there is no restriction on time to access the door.

Door Group:
give permission to enter a specific door or doors in range that has been grouping into Door Group on 9. Door
Group Edit for particular user.

Each controller has identity to distinguish one another that is called Node ID. There is two type of controller
installed on the door.
701 Client setting recognized each user assigned access for Door Group instead of Door Name. If you do not have
more than one door to be grouped as a Door Group, you still need to assign it as a Door Group.
Anti-passback:
if this option is ticked, the anti-pass-back function of this user will be enabled (this function is commonly paired
with devices with anti-passback setting as well).
Guard:
if this option is ticked, the user will be identified as patrol check-in only and the lock won’t be released when this
Guard Card is presented.
Access Limit Time:
set the user access date limit (start – end time)
This features is available only for Enterprise Series (E Series) controller or all controller under control panel

Time Attendance:
Select the Duty Shift for each User on C. Attendance Edit

STEP 2. Save changes


Click to Save changes of User Data (all User Data is saved as Dedault.usr on path C:\Program Files
(x86)\701Client)

STEP 3. Download
On pervious step 3 it is only saved the data on the PC, to make it works in actual practice, the saved data must
be downloaded to the controller by clicking Download icon

Deleting User Data


Description of deleting a User can be varied. You can choose to 1. Making a particular user access invalid but still
maintain its biodata 2. Delete a particular user data.

3-1 Making a particular user access invalid but still maintain its biodata
Step 1. Go to particular user to change its access mode
Step 2. Select the access mode as ‘Invalid’. This action will maintain User biodata but denying its access.

3-2 Delete a particular user data


Default Login Name:
This action will delete user data based on the user address
Default Password:supervisor
