THE EFFECT OF SOCIAL MEDIA ON STUDENTS SCHOOL WORK

The study found that most people in the world have a pattern to follow and it is the use of different
types of social media.

Currently, there are two billion people actively using social media around the world and it is affecting life
and education. This is according to Google.com, an internet website.

Social media has made the world smaller, showering us with more information, more knowledge and
better opportunities to use it.

Among the types of social media, the most famous is said to be “Facebook” where the user can send
messages, upload photos, videos, chat or communicate and various other uses.

There are many different types of social media used by students, teachers, parents as well as different
types of people in the world. Other uses are Twitter and Instagram which have the same goal – to
communicate and communicate with people in different parts of the world.

As more and more people use social media, it will be noticed that there are good and bad things about
using it. According to observation and research, most social media users are aged 14-29. Some of the
good effects are the easy spread of knowledge or information, quick communication with people who
work together or not.

Students are also given a good opportunity to further cultivate their creativity or artistry and continue to
have innovative ideas. Everyone’s abilities or talents can be discovered, for example if a person sings
well, it can be discovered more easily through videos. Google can also be used, a website to research
about different lessons. And everyone’s thoughts can be expressed easily

Inside and outside the classroom, teachers can interact with students for communication.

The opportunity to learn more is also lost, for example in the details of correct pronunciation and
grammar of words and sentences.

Most of all, social media causes a student to spend a lot of time playing games and talking, which will
serve as a reason to affect and neglect studies.
