    TYPES OF RESEARCH

    >Qualitative research: A research that deals with perceptions: having a deeper understanding about
    a phenomena it talks about how valid , reliable and real something is.

    *It deals with verbal description of a phenomena

    *use of an interview

    *Group discussions

    *Action research

    *Case study

    >Quantitative research: a research that deals with application of numbers or statistics than
    description. It’s dependence is highly on numbers

    #A survey or an experiment and data is collected through questionnaires.

    ETHICS TO ADHERE TO AS A RESEARCHER

    *Ethics are rules and principles that every researcher must adhere to. The following are ethics every
    researcher must adhere to:

    1. You must not cook information. Do not write information that is already there.

    2. Don’t force someone to be part of the research.

    3. You will not solicit for funds (no begging for funds in order to do research)

    4. Never claim any level of competence you do not have. (Do not lie to have
    qualifications you don’t have just to seek approval)

    5. Never show doubt on the professional competence of the other.

    6. It’s unethical to conduct research you didn’t plan for.

    COMPONENTS PF RESEARCH

    *Systematic: Tries to solve problems in whichever field and require proper organization starting
    from Identification of the problem, review of related literature and data.

    *Objective: There should be no bias in the solution found.


    *Observable experiences (Do not judge something or someone based on other peoples experiences,
    have time to observe them and find out your own experiences)

    Have a deeper understanding of something

    Designed procedures: These are steps that should be followed when you have identified the
    problem of the research.
