taken into consideration. On the one hand, it should be known that it is a
phenomenon that can occur in educational institutions and taboos should not be
generated on the subject, but people must be made aware of it. If students and
teachers understand the subject, there will be better communication and better
solutions can be sought. On the other hand, it is important not to ignore this type of
bullying and it must be reported quickly so that the victim is not more affected.

and support for students experiencing cyberbullying, and can help them take steps to
protect themselves and seek help if necessary.

Seek support from friends and peers: It is important to have trusted friends who
can provide emotional support and help protect you from potential online aggression.

4. How do I apply that information to determine a solution?

Looking for the source of the problem and find some coomon things among the
situations investigated, to determine a solution, you need to first identify the problem
you are trying to solve. Once you have identified the problem, you can use your
knowledge and information to come up with potential solutions.

Define the problem: Clearly define the problem you are trying to solve. What is the
issue, and why does it need to be addressed?

Gather information: Gather as much information as possible about the problem.

This may involve conducting research, talking to experts, and gathering data.

Analyze the information: Analyze the information you have gathered to identify
potential solutions. Consider the pros and cons of each solution and weigh the
potential outcomes.

Evaluate the options: Evaluate each option based on your analysis and determine
which solution is the best fit for the problem.

Implement the solution: Once you have determined the best solution, implement it
and monitor the results to ensure that the problem has been solved.
STEP 3

● Ideas / solutions:
Cyberbullying is a growing problem among college students, and it is important to
take steps to prevent and reduce its incidence. Here are some potential solutions to
address this issue:
Educate and raise awareness on the issue: Education and awareness are key to
preventing cyber bullying. Universities can offer awareness programs about cyber
bullying and the dangers of social media. Students need to be educated on how to
stay safe online and how to report cyber bullying.

Policies and Procedures: Universities can implement clear policies and procedures
on cyberbullying. This may include disciplinary consequences for cyberbullies and
resources for victims of cyberbullying.

Counseling and support: Universities may offer counseling and support services to
victims of cyber bullying. This can include individual therapy, support groups, and
online resources to help victims recover from emotional trauma.

Online Monitoring: Universities can monitor popular social media and websites for
cyber bullying behavior. This can help quickly identify and address cyberbullying on
campus.

Community Involvement: The prevention of cyberbullying is the responsibility of the

entire university community. Students, staff, and faculty must work together to create
an environment of respect and tolerance. Values such as empathy, respect and
compassion should be fostered among students.

Implementation of technology: Universities may implement technologies for the

prevention of cyberbullying, such as message filtering tools and offensive comments
online.
On the other hand, the victim of cyberbullying could put into practice certain actions
to stop the bullying. These solutions are:
Not respond to the bully: Responding to the bully's messages or comments can
often make the situation worse. Instead, ignore the messages and report them to the
appropriate authorities.

Take care of privacy: so as not to risk their lives. This is why students are advised
to make their profiles private, only accept trusted people, and constantly change their
passwords.

Keep evidence: Keep records of all the messages, emails, or other communications
that are part of the cyberbullying. This evidence may be helpful if you decide to report
the bully to the authorities.

cyberbullying. They can offer support and help you develop strategies to deal with
the situation.

Block the bully: If the cyberbullying is coming from a specific person or account,
consider blocking them on social media or other digital communication channels.

● Best idea / solution:

The best alternative to solve cyberbullying could be the implementation of
technology in academic entities.

● Elaborate and refine:

Technology is a widespread tool today. Although cyberbullying is created through
virtual media, it can also be combated with digital media. Technology can be used to
control, stop and prevent harassment and offensive messages or comments on the
web. Technology is a good alternative to solve cyberbullying because it has a wide
reach worldwide, facilitates communication with potential victims or people involved,
and has instruments that can stop cyberbullying.

STEP 4
LOW / HIGH QUALITY: (EN ESPAÑOL PARA QUE SE ENTIENDA :))

Mainly, technology in the prevention of cyberbullying would be quite high if it is implemented

in a correct, appropriate, and effective manner. However, to achieve this, it depends on
several aspects such as the quality of offensive comment filtering tools and, with it, the
commitment of users to receive the alert state for online harassment and the ability to
respond to it.

RESOURCES AVAILABLE:

As resources, technology is primarily available, since it is responsible for allowing digital

media to be carried out from any time or place. Information is also available, which will give
you context about cyberbullying and what to do if you are in that situation. Finally,
applications that can be associated with this extension.

CULTURAL ACCEPTANCE:

The cultural response in Colombia may be varied due to the different types of thinking found
throughout the region. However, in general, there is growing awareness that cyberbullying is
a problem and that an effective solution to this issue is needed. However, resistance can
also be encountered due to privacy and freedom of expression, so it is crucial to balance the
prevention of cyberbullying while respecting the rights of users and ensuring that the
technological measures implemented are effective and respectful.

ROOT CAUSE ADDRESSED

The root cause addressed is online harassment, which is a multifaceted and growing
problem worldwide that can lead to discrimination, envy, revenge, bullying, etc. Therefore,
the involvement of technology aims to prevent this and try to censor inappropriate and
offensive online content.
ACCEPTABLE RISKS:

Assumable risks can include:

1) False positives that may limit freedom of expression.

2) Loss of privacy due to collection and storage of personal information of students.
3) Lack of effectiveness as bullies may find ways to circumvent security measures.
4) Significant cost in terms of financial and human resources

STEP 5

Challenge: Provide specialized support for helping people particularly teens who have
been victims of cyberbullying.

Solution: Implement the technology in academic entities where teenagers could feel
safe, by installing an extension that has the ability to filter the messages, in chats,
comments, multimedia, voice recordings and any interaction between the users,
creating a safe space, something like a healthy environment on the web.

Necessary steps to design the solution:

Designing a solution for cyberbullying requires a thoughtful and multi-faceted approach.

Here are some necessary steps to consider:
Understand cyberbullying: Start by researching and understanding what cyberbullying is,
how it differs from other types of bullying, and the potential impact it can have on victims.
Cyberbullying can take many forms, such as spreading rumors, sharing embarrassing
photos, or making hurtful comments online.
Identify the target audience: Determine who the solution is designed for, such as children,
parents, educators, or law enforcement. Different audiences may require different
approaches.
Assess the current state of cyberbullying: Analyze the prevalence and severity of
cyberbullying in the target audience. This can involve gathering data from surveys or
interviews, as well as reviewing relevant research studies.
Establish goals and objectives: Develop clear goals and objectives for the solution. These
might include reducing instances of cyberbullying, increasing awareness of the issue, or
providing support for victims.
Develop strategies and tactics: Identify strategies and tactics that can help achieve the
goals and objectives. This might include implementing policies and procedures for reporting
and responding to cyberbullying, providing education and training to students, parents, and
educators, or developing online resources and support networks.
Implement the solution: Roll out the solution, whether it is a new policy, program, or
technology. It's important to communicate the solution clearly and effectively to the target
audience, and to evaluate its effectiveness over time.
