gong
entrance
to
make
sure
such
preparation
thus,
the
tone
may
begin
earlier
than
notated.
The
performance
ends
with
a
cut-‐off
unison,
at
what
would
be
the
first
beat
of
bar
201,
without
ritard.
The
dynamics
are
scarcely
indicated;
the
first
note
of
each
group
of
8th
notes
may
be
given
a
slight
accent;
the
piece
does
not
progress
from
soft
to
loud
but
is
continuosly
festive
in
intention;
the
changes
in
amount
and
nature
of
activity
producing
changes
in
amplitude.
