▮ There are several possibilities to read a message
▮ In the text area of the main window
▮ In its own form, depending on the type of the selected message
▮ Click on the View icon or double click on the message to open it in its form

and in the text area
▮ Acknowledging Pending Messages

▮ Once an operator has read a message, she/he should acknowledge it
▮ By acknowledging a message, the operator tells the system that he took over the
responsibility for this message. The message then disappears from the current
Pending Message list but remains stored in the internal CADAS database and
can be retrieved again
▮ Click on the Ack icon to acknowledge a message

▮ Click on the Print icon and choose an appropriate printer
▮ Select optional printing attributes and start the print job by clicking on the OK button

▮ You can edit the current message and send it again

▮ To handle incoming traffic in your mailboxes, mailboxes have to be monitored
▮ To monitor/release mailboxes select System Æ Monitor/Release Mailboxes
▮ Find a list of all released mailboxes which are available for monitoring
▮ Select all released mailboxes, you want to monitor and click on the Monitor button

▮ The Mailbox Status displays, whether a mailbox is monitored at this time
and how many pending messages are inside this mailbox

(Green = The mailbox is monitored; Red = The mailbox is not monitored)

▮ Each new incoming message is held in the Pending Message list, until an operator
acknowledge it
▮ The system can be configured, to acknowledge these new messages automatically

▮ The CADAS ATS system checks various input fields on

syntax and semantics. To be able to do so, it has to have
reference values which you can define in several Static
Data tables

▮ Shows all Aircraft Types defined within the system

▮ Shows all Aerodromes defined within the system
▮ FIRs/UIRs
▮ Shows all FIRs/UIRs defined within the system
▮ You can either manage these Static Data table values
manually or import/export them to/from other databases
outside the system

▮ Define different filter constraints (up to 15 different constraints)
▮ Define the relation between the filter constraints
