PROFESSIONAL SERVICE PROJECT

I volunteered for the student subcommittee for AAMD. The last day the meeting was held July
10th 20023. This last month’s agenda was discussing the future of the Student Subcommittee.
Many great project ideas were brought to the table.
The main purpose of the Student Subcommittee is to provide students with ample help and
necessary resources to achieve success, while also creating a route for students to become more
actively involved in the AAMD. Using an open and dynamic format based on discussions, this
subcommittee generates ideas and carries out activities designed specifically for student
members. Meetings for this subcommittee occur bi-monthly over Zoom.
I believe that volunteering at a professional level is crucial because it enables individuals to
cultivate and apply specialized skills, expand their professional networks, gain relevant
experience for career advancement, and contribute meaningfully to organizations and causes,
fostering personal growth and a sense of purpose while making a positive impact on both their
chosen field and the community at large.
