It was narrated that ‘Abdullah said:

“When the Messenger of Allah (‫ )ﷺ‬was taken on the Night Journey (Lailat al Miraj),
he came to Sidrah Al-Muntaha, which is in the sixth heaven. That is where everything
that comes up from below ends, and where everything that comes down from above,
until it is taken from it. Allah says: When what covered the lote-tree did cover it! [1] He
said: “It was moths of gold. And I was given three things: The five daily prayers, the last
verses of Surah Al-Baqarah, and whoever of my Ummah dies without associating
anything with Allah will be forgiven for Al-Muqhimat.” The sins of the worst magnitude
that drag one into the Fire.” (An-Nihayah)

SURAH BAQARAH VERSE 285

In Arabic:
 َ ‫ﻧز َل إِ َﻟ ْﯾ ِﮫ ِﻣن رﱠ ﱢﺑ ِﮫۦ َو ْٱﻟﻣ ُْؤ ِﻣ ُﻧ‬
ۚ ‫ون‬ ُ ‫َءا َﻣ َن ٱﻟرﱠ ﺳُو ُل ﺑ َﻣﺂ أ‬
ِ ِ
ُ‫ُﻛ ﱞل َءا َﻣ َن ِﺑﭑ ﱠ ِ َو َﻣ ٰ َٓﻠ ِﺋ َﻛ ِﺗ ِﮫۦ َو ُﻛ ُﺗ ِﺑ ِﮫۦ َو ُر ُﺳﻠِ ِﮫۦ َﻻ ُﻧ َﻔرﱢ ق‬

‫وا َﺳ ِﻣﻌْ َﻧﺎ َوأَ َطﻌْ َﻧﺎ ۖ ُﻏ ْﻔ َرا َﻧ َك‬۟ ُ‫َﺑﯾ َْن أَ َﺣ ٍد ﻣﱢن رﱡ ُﺳﻠِ ِﮫۦ ۚ َو َﻗﺎﻟ‬

ِ ‫ْك ْٱﻟ َﻣ‬

‫ﺻﯾ ُر‬ َ ‫َر ﱠﺑ َﻧﺎ َوإِ َﻟﯾ‬
Transliteration: Aamanar-Rasoolu bimaaa unzila ilaihi mir-Rabbihee
walmu’minoon; kullun aamana billaahi wa Malaaa’ikathihee wa Kutubhihee wa
Rusulihee laa nufarriqu baina ahadim-mir-Rusulih wa qaaloo sami’naa wa
ata’naa ghufraanaka Rabbanaa wa ilaikal-maseer

Translation: The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from
his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and
His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying], “We make no
distinction between any of His messengers.” And they say, “We hear and we
obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final]
destination.”

SURAH BAQARAH AYAH 286

Last Ayat of Surah Baqarah (2:286) in Arabic:
 ْ ‫َﻻ ُﯾ َﻛﻠﱢفُ ٱ ﱠ ُ َﻧ ْﻔ ًﺳﺎ إِ ﱠﻻ وُ ﺳْ َﻌ َﮭﺎ ۚ َﻟ َﮭﺎ َﻣﺎ َﻛ َﺳ َﺑ‬
‫ت َو َﻋ َﻠ ْﯾ َﮭﺎ‬
ۚ ‫ت ۗ َر ﱠﺑ َﻧﺎ َﻻ ُﺗ َؤا ِﺧ ْذ َﻧﺂ إِن ﱠﻧ ِﺳﯾ َﻧﺂ أَ ْو أَ ْﺧ َطﺄْ َﻧﺎ‬ ْ ‫َﻣﺎ‬
ْ ‫ٱﻛ َﺗ َﺳ َﺑ‬

َ ‫َر ﱠﺑ َﻧﺎ َو َﻻ َﺗﺣْ ِﻣ ْل َﻋ َﻠ ْﯾ َﻧﺂ إِﺻْ ًرا َﻛ َﻣﺎ َﺣ َﻣ ْﻠ َﺗﮫُۥ َﻋ َﻠﻰ ٱﻟﱠ ِذ‬
‫ﯾن‬
ۖ ‫ِﻣن َﻗ ْﺑﻠِ َﻧﺎ ۚ َر ﱠﺑ َﻧﺎ َو َﻻ ُﺗ َﺣﻣ ْﱢﻠ َﻧﺎ َﻣﺎ َﻻ َطﺎ َﻗ َﺔ َﻟ َﻧﺎ ِﺑ ِﮫۦ‬
َ َ‫ٱﻏ ِﻔرْ َﻟ َﻧﺎ َوٱرْ َﺣﻣْ َﻧﺂ ۚ أ‬
‫ﻧت َﻣ ْو َﻟ ٰﯨ َﻧﺎ‬ ْ ‫َوٱﻋْ فُ َﻋ ﱠﻧﺎ َو‬

َ ‫َﻓﭑﻧﺻُرْ َﻧﺎ َﻋ َﻠﻰ ْٱﻟ َﻘ ْو ِم ْٱﻟ ٰ َﻛ ِﻔ ِر‬

‫ﯾن‬

Transliteration: Laa yukalliful-laahu nafsan illaa wus’ahaa; lahaa maa

kasabat wa ‘alaihaa maktasabat; Rabbanaa laa tu’aakhiznaaa in naseenaaa
aw akhtaanaa; Rabbanaa wa laa tahmil-‘alainaaa isran kamaa hamaltahoo
‘alal-lazeena min qablinaa; Rabbanaa wa laa tuhammilnaa maa laa taaqata
lanaa bih; wa’fu ‘annaa waghfir lanaa warhamnaa; Anta mawlaanaa
fansurnaa ‘alal qawmil kaafireen (section 40)

Translation: Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity.
It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the
consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. “Our Lord, do not impose blame
upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden
like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not
with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and
have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the
disbelieving people.”
