Messenger but fear Allah. Indeed,

CAUSE AND DIGNITY
OF REVELATION

 Some companions of Holy Prophet
(P.B.U.H) had started keeping fasts
before the month of Ramadan and
some had slaughtered their sacrificial
animals before the prayer of EID-UL-
AZHA.
EXPLANATION

 The believers have been prohibited not to exceed over
Allah’s Messenger in worldly deeds. It means without
his permission, do not proceed in words or deeds.
 In matters of religion, do not judge by your own style,
but obey Allah and His Messenger.
 While walking with Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H),
following of his footprints has been ordered as well as
in prayer, one should observe and understand the
practices of Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) and then follow it.

TRANSLATION:

O you who have believed, do
not raise your voices above the voice
of the Prophet or be loud to him in
speech like the loudness of some of
you to others, lest your deeds
become worthless while you
perceive not.
DIGNITY OF
REVELATION

 The above verse has been related with HAZRAT SABET BEN QAIS (R.A) who
was rather deaf and listened the high voice. He was directed by the court of
Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) to keep his voice low. Since the voices of
HAZRAT SABET BEN QAIS (R.A) was very high naturally. Therefore, after the
revelation of this holy verse, He adopted in loneliness and did not attend the court
of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H). The Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) wanted to
know the reason of his absence through his neighbor HAZRAT SAAD (R.A) He
asked HAZRAT SABIT BEN QAIS (R.A) for the reason who said, My voice had
become high, I have infernal Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) said, He should be
told that he is heavenly commentary. (TAFSEER KHAZAIN-UL-IRFAN)
INTERPRETATION

The explanation of this holy verse is that
(P.B.U.H) speaking at a high pitch in the court
of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) addressing
the Prophet by tress passing the limits of
decency had been disallowed. But those
companions of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H)
whose voices were naturally high had been
excluded by Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) .
INTERPRETATION

 Deliberately speaking loudly in the presence
of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) would
destroy the good deeds of the person and he
would be unaware of this punishment.
 From this verse a perception come into light
that speaking loudly and making noise before
elders (especially parents and teachers) is
strictly prohibited.

DIGNITY OF
REVELATION

The above verses had been revealed about
the delegation of BANU TAMEIM tribe
who arrived MADINA and began to call
the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) of
behind the apartments when he (P.B.U.H)
sleeping at midday.
INTERPRETATION

 God had taught the etiquettes to masses for attending the
assembly of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H). Therefore he
declared the importance and disrespect of BANU TAMEIM as
ignorance and unwise because their mistake was due to
ignorance. He taught them regards that it had been for them to
wait till the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) came out from the
midday sleep and pardoned this mistake due to ignorance and
due to bring forgiving and merciful. Through this verse they had
been warmed for showing disrespect as well as announced the
good news of His forgiveness and great rewards.

Cause of Revelation

 This verse had been revealed about WALID BIN ABI MUEAT who was

sent by Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) to BANU MUSTALIQ Tribe for

the recovery of Zakat. Before, embracing Islam, HAZRAT WALEED BIN
UQBA BIN ABI MUHEET (R.A) killed a man of that tribe. Therefore, he
sensed the danger of being killed, returned from his way and due to
misunderstanding to pay Zakat. This had annoyed infuriated the
companions of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) but Prophet Muhammad
(P.B.U.H) sent HAZRAT KHALID BIN WALEED (RA) along with a
contingent to ascertain the facts and refrain from making any haste.
INTERPRETATION

The above verse had revealed to ascertain the facts for a
misunderstanding of WALID BEN UQBA BIN ABI
MUEET (RA) that no step may be taken hastily in any
matter but ascertain the facts. HAZRAT KHALID BIN
WALID after assessing the situation came to know that
people of BANU MUSTALIQ tribe orthodox Muslims
and if he attacked on them without verifying the facts,
then he would have to repent, from this event, there is a
hint in it that no heed to be paid on rumors.
INTERPRETATION
 After that Allah drew the
attention that the Holy Prophet
Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is present amongst you who knows every
thing with the light of Divine and revelation of God. Therefore,
you are not supposed to take any step without his (P.B.U.H)
permission. If you insist to come to agree on any point, you would
be in trouble. But God has obliged through His blessings, Who
decorated your hearts with faith and made paganism and
obscenity as undesirable. Therefore, those who steadfast on the
right path are the guided people. God very well knows the
mystery of every thing. From these verse the news of an
individual is reliable and on the other hand the evidence without
verification by a worthless fellow has been declared as incredible

INTERPETATION

 The glorious revelation of this verse is that in a matter of a fight
between two ANSAR, then this verse was revealed.
 In the above verse, order had been given to reconcile between
the two fighting groups of Muslims with Justice and equity.
Those who do so, God has a good news of including them as
His beloved people. While making peace with justice this point
should be kept in view how to help the oppressed. God has
ordered, even to wage war against the tyrants for the security of
oppressed persons from their wickedness. God has called
faithful to those MADINA who fight each other and does
declare them out from the fold of Islam.

Translation: The Muslims are brothers to each other, therefore make

peace between your two brothers and fear Allah, so that you may

gain mercy. (The entire Muslim nation is a single brotherhood,

without any distinction for caste, creed or color.)

INTERPRETATION

 Muslims are all brothers because of the common denominator,
so make peace between your two brothers through the Book of
Allah. And keep your duty to Allah in peace, that ye may
obtain mercy, and that ye may have no punishment.
 In the hadiths, the brotherhood of the believers is
sometimes compared to the bricks of the wall and
sometimes the entire Muslim UMMAH is described as
one body. After the migration to MADINA “the
establishment of brotherhood between ANSARS (local and
refugees) and Muslim is such an example of Islamic
brotherhood which has no parallel in world.
INTERPRETATION

 In Hadith, the relations of Islamic
brotherhood has been given such an
important that it seems to be greater than
the blood relations. In another Hadith its
maintenance has been persuade in this way,

 O People who Believe! Men must not ridicule other men
for it could be that the ridiculed are better than the
mockers, nor must the women ridicule other women for
the ridiculed women may be better than the mockers; and
do not insult one another, nor assign evil nicknames; how
base it is to be called a sinner after being a Muslim! And
whoever does not repent – then it is they who are unjust.
Cause of Revelation

 This verse has been revealed about the tribe BANU TAMIM who looked down
upon and ridiculed the companions (R.A.A) HAZRAT BILAL, HAZRAT
SUHEB, and AMMAR (R.A) or about HAZRAT SABIT IBN-E-QAIS (R.A)
who disgraced a poor companion (R.A) with D, Son of lady.
 According to the other narration a part of this verse is about the mother of
Muslims SAFIA BINT HAI (R.A) who once told a woman, O! daughter of the
Jew, then she wept and complain he Holy Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) who
said, “You are the daughter of Prophet HAZRAT HAROON (P.B.U.H) and wife
of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and be afraid of Allah i.e. avoid to taunt

EXPLANATION

 In the above verses three following orders have been given to
regard the Islamic Values.
1. Not to ridicule other i.e. any Muslim man/women may not be
ridiculed on the pretext of shape & face, poverty (ways of
living)and avoid to laugh and vexing of heart.
2. Not to Taunt others i.e. one must avoid to backbite for Muslim
man/ woman even by hint because it will hurt his/ her feelings.
3. Not to call with titles, it means not to keep names to others for
irritation. Any how for the identification of any one his actual
quality may be told in such a way that may not reflect bad
intentions.
INTERPRETATION

The main purpose of these three commandments is that any Muslim may
not consider the order Muslim as debase and avoid from hurting his feeling
because it does away the brotherhood and unity.
 In the end Muslims have been made to realize that after entering into the
fold of Islam, the evil doings by sinners and impious are not worthy of
Muslim. Therefore one must avoid from doing evil. The person who does
not refrain from evil, despite such an affectionate advice and does not
repent, then he is cruel and he should be charged with defamation.
 Accordingly those people are infidel who use profane language for Muslim
and companions (RAA) Through God has clearly said that to whom you
debase, there is a possibility that those are better than you.

 O People who Believe! Avoid excessive
assumptions; indeed assumption sometimes
becomes a sin, and do not seek faults, and do not
slander one another; would any one among you like
to eat the flesh of his dead brother? So you will hate
that! And fear Allah; indeed Allah is Most Acceptor
of Repentance, Most Merciful.
EXPLANATION

This verse has been revealed in continuation
of the previous verse. In this four orders have
been passed for Muslim to teach social
etiquettes.
1) Avoided from Suspicion
2) Not to spy
3) Avoid from backbiting
4) fear of Allah
Avoided from Suspicion

 There are four requirements for
suspicion.
It is HARAAM to despair of God's mercy.
 It is obligatory to resolve a dispute or to
determine the value of an item.
It is MUSTAHAB for every Muslim to
think well.
Not to spy

 from this order, it means that instead
of collecting defects, weak points,
secret of others one should look with
in his faults because in tracing the
faults of others create displeasure and
changes love into hate.
These are the three words in
Arabic.
‫ت‬ 
‫ج‬
TAJASSUS:(‫ ) سس‬Think of an evil against
someone and be curious about that evil. It is
curiosity that‫ ت‬is forbidden.
 TASUS‫عسس‬ : To prevent a crime before it
occurs. ‫ت‬
 TAHASSUS ‫حسس‬ : Finding something
positive for a purpose.
(MAHAZRAT E SEERAT BY DR.MEHMOOD AHMED GAZI,P:359)
Avoid from backbiting

 Backbiting has been declared a sin
worse than a adultery. This creates
bad impressions on the mutual unity.
An example of this is given in the
Quran by eating of the flash of a
dead brother which can not be liked
by any right minded person.
fear of Allah

In every order of Holy Quran , orders have been given to
afraid from Allah. If some one does not give any
importance to these orders and does not obey for taking as
disesteem, then he should make up his mind to bear the
divine punishment. If he commits mistakes or sin then he
should, confess and repent by fearing from Allah. Because
God is Acceptor of repentance and Merciful.
The sole purpose of these orders is that Muslims should
respect each others so that their unity must be maintained.

Surely the most honorable of you in the
Presence of Allah is he who is the most
pious of you (not by your race or lineage).
Surely Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware.
CAUSE OF
REVELATION

 This verse was revealed for HAZRAT
BILAL (R.A) on the occasion of the
conquest of MAKKAH. Prophet
Muhammad (S.A.W) ordered him to give
Azan at the roof of KA'BAH. The
QURAYSH of MAKKAH could not bear
it because of having the feeling of racial
pride. (TAFEER ZIA UL QURAN)
INTERPETATION

 This holy verse has been containing with such injunctions and
in it lesson has been given for human equality. Being a human
all people are the offspring of HAZRAT ADAM (A.S) and Eve
(A.S). Therefore, with this faith all human are equal.
 After this when the generation of Adam spread through out the
world; then for their recognition, God has classified them into
branches and tribes on the basis of races, regions and languages.
It was not the objective of this classification that any branch or
tribe has become superior than other on the basis of language,
region, wealth and majority. But this classification has been for
recognition only so that people may easily recognize each other
INTERPRETATION

In addition to this God has told the level of piety. If any one may be given a
respectable status on the basis of any goodness then it is only piousness.
 The Prophet (P.B.UH) said in his last sermon:
“All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority
over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also
a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority
over white except by piety (TAQWA) and good action.”
 The Holy Prophet said, It is doubtless fact that God neither sees of
our bodies nor our faces but he sees our inners.(SAHIH MUSLIM)

 The Arabs said: “We have become ÂMENÛ”.
Say (to them): “You have not become ÂMENÛ
(You have not wished to reach Allah before
death). But say: ‘We have surrendered’. The Faith
has not yet entered (into) your hearts; and if you
obey Allah and His Messenger (if you wish to
reach Allah), He will not diminish anything of
your deeds. Surely Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most
Merciful”.
Cause of Revelation

 This holy verse has been revealed about the tribe of BANI ASAD

and his troops who came to MADINA during the days of famine and

came to Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and embraced. Islam

verbally. But they said that had come with their families and like

other tribes did not wage war with you . Besides them other tribes

e.g. MAZINA, JIZINA and ASLAM termed their embracing of

Islam a great favor which was disliked by Allah.

INTERPRETATION

In this Allah called such peoples as ignorant who boasted their favor of
embracing Islam. Through this fact has been explained to them that
verbal expression of faith is not acceptable, until he obeys all the decree
of Islam practically. Those who embraced Islam and would sincerely
obey Allah and His Messenger (P.B.U.H) then God will reward for his
god deed according to His own dignity and would not lesson the
showering of the bounties as the quality God is forgiveness and
Merciful. Allah has described His qualities as Merciful and forgiving
for those peoples who had committed the mistake of boasting their
favor and appealed to God for forgiveness and strengthen the faith
heartily with a hope of Mercy and Forgiveness by God upon them.

INTERPRETATION

Believers that believers are those who faith on Allah and His
Messenger (P.B.U.H) and then never doubted. But on His
decree they sacrifice their lives in His way. Those who
expose their faith practically are true believers. This verse
proves that the companions of Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) as true
