NARRATIVE REPORT

The School LAC Session for DISTRICT TRAINING ON ARABIC EMERGENT READING
AND CULTURE AWARENESS (AERCA) CUM ORIENTATION ON MADRASAH EDUCATION
PROGRAM was held last May 29, 2023 at Solano West Elementary School, Principal’s Office.
All the teachers attended the LAC Session following health protocols.
The LAC session started at 11:00 in the morning. Mrs. Belinda L. Dulay, Principal 1
of Solano West ES, gave her message to all participants and we are all inspired to finish our
LAC sessions which was scheduled for three (3) days. She also oriented the participants
about the LAC session.
In compliance with the Regional Memorandum No. 130 s. 2018 for Madrasah
Education Program, the Solano II District conducts the seminar- workshop on Arabic
Emergent Reading Culture awareness and Orientation on Madrasah Education Program was
held on May 29-31, 2023.
The training aims to capacitate program implementers with basic knowledge on
Arabic Language and culture that are essential for instructional supervision as well as in the
promotion of respect and understanding of Muslim culture. Specifically, it aims to enable
participants to:
1. gain understanding of the competencies and appropriate pedagogies for handling ALIVE
classes; 2. acquire basic knowledge on Arabic language and culture; and 3.develop deeper
understanding on how to conduct M & E and provide technical assistance to ALIVE
implementing schools/teachers.
The first Speaker was Madam Belinda L. Dulay, Principal I of Solano West
Elementary School. She tackled about Understanding Madrasah Curriculum. Different
Activities were given to all the teacher all throughout the session.
The afternoon LAC session was started at 3:00 in the afternoon. The speaker was
Marwilyn J. Dizon, Master Teacher I of Solano West Elementary school. Her topic was

about Islam and the Core Values (Makakalikasan, Makabansa Maka-Diyos, Maka-Tao ).
Many Qustions were asked by the teachers that was very important to understand more about
the Muslim Learners.
The third LAC session was held on April 30, 2023 at 3:00 in the afternoon. The
speaker was Ustadz Faisal Macarimbang, asatidz of K-3 Muslim learners of Solano West
Elementary School. His topic was all about Huruful Hijaiyah or Arabic Alphabet. The
teachers were hard up in distinguishing the letters because it was their first time to read and
distinguish the different Arabic alphabets.
The final session for the LAC activity was held last May 31, 2023 at 3:00 in the
afternoon. The speaker was Ustadz Jabbar Macarimbang. She talked about the culture,
religion and tradition on Islam. The participants were very attentive on the topic presented
and many questions were raised for them to understand the culture of the Muslim families.
The LAC session was of great help to all the teachers in understanding about their
muslim learners, be able to distinguished what were good and bad for them and be aware of
the teachings from Qur’an.
