Respected Sir/Madam. Greetings. This is Ojus Kumar Dewangan and I write with wishing to
successfully apply for the Master of Business Administration course from your renowned educational
institution. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Dayananda
Sagar Institution, Bangalore and I wish to gain information and polish my skills further in the field of
management.

I was one of the best students at my school. After my 12th standard, I appeared for IIT JEE (considered
as one of the greatest entrance exams in India for technical education) and was ranked among the top
25% of the aspirants at the national level. Apart from academics, I was more into the all-around
development of body and soul. I took part in various co-curricular activities such as participating in
sports competitions and secured awards in Badminton, Table Tennis, and Basketball.

I wanted to place myself in such a niche position that I can adapt, analyze and grasp the information
easily, hence I chose Computer Science & Engineering for my bachelor's. During my under graduation,
I explored the academic as well as practical aspects in the classroom. Undergraduate studies have
given me an overview of Computer Engineering. In my third year, I attended a seminar on Angular Js
and React Js with a brief description of their importance, types, pros, cons, and future trends. I got the
opportunity to have my final year project selected for State Level Seminar and Exhibition (S&E) in
KARNATAKA STATE COUNCIL FOR SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY(KSCST).In this project, in a team of four,
we created AN IOT BASED MICROCONTROLLER TO ENHANCE PROCESS PERFORMANCE OF THE
CONVENTIONAL DRILLING MACHINE.

Alongside academics, I wanted to develop a holistic personality. Therefore, I took part in many of the
college events and was also a member of the organizing committee for our college Sports fest. I was
appointed as the lead coordinator for the Inter-Branch Sports competition. Organizing this event
polished my decision-making, teamwork, and strategizing skills. I was also associated with the college
Content Creator club called RAKER MEDIA LABS. In which we made a YouTube series called
“CINEMANIACS” in which I was the lead protagonist. Additionally, I have a passion for video creation
& editing. I believe conveying a message via video is the best way to make your audience
understand anything easily. Moreover, I have created videos for SMEs in India.

With the attitude of always being ready to learn new things, I went for vocational training at BSNL(Ex-
biggest, government-owned telecom provider in India), Korba. In my stint at BSNL, I got an opportunity
to work on and learn about two different topics: ‘Data Network’ and ‘Cyber Security. After completion
of my bachelor's, I started my tenure at Wipro Technologies(One of the Leading Tech Giants in India).
In the past 3 years, I have worked on a diverse variety of projects and for multiple clients all over the
globe. Two of the very interesting projects are an e-commerce website for my client Philips which gave
me insight into the world of online commerce; and a banking project for Metro Bank where I
discovered some basic insights into digital Markets. Currently, my job is to modify the existing code to
enhance the current functionality and to add new functionality, incorporate performance
optimization to reduce the runtime, and propose solutions to make the existing infrastructure better
and more efficient. Additionally, I have worked on Selenium (an automation tool) which taught me
how automation could be used on different platforms to automate for better and faster results.

I was not only examining my experiences in the professional elements, but I was also testing my
personal skills like collaborating with teams, expressing innovative ideas without any fear, building a
good relationship with teammates, creating a healthy competition between the teams, and so on so
forth. I can proudly say that I was very much successful on both personal and professional levels, which
inspired me to pursue a career in the field of Management. Apart from my work, I’m a Professional
Squash player with an ALL INDIA Ranking (Men's) of 268 in the year 2021 session. Moreover, I am the
lead guitarist in a band and we have performed shows in my college and local events.

I believe that I have the perfect blend of experience required for this course. My role of working as a
Software Engineer at Wipro required me to interact with the onshore team and clients. This helped
me understand the needs of the business and the roots of the business problems. I have made several
changes to the system, provided relevant suggestions to incorporate new advancements, and learned
to take calculated risks and make customer-centric decisions. My numerable experiences of
suggesting changes and creating value in college and industry made me realize that I want to pursue
a career in the field of consulting and I would like to see myself as a consultant in a renowned
organization like 'McKinsey & Company' and 'Deloitte', which requires traits and strengths that are in
sync with my personality. Moreover, to be efficient and effective in my job, I need to have an overview
of all the functions of the company ranging from finance, marketing, and operations, but not limited
to the strategy which would allow me to make judicious decisions. I am cognizant of the need for a
deep understanding of the core functioning of corporate giants, which I presently lack, to excel in this
field.

After estimating all the possibilities for my desired career in my country, my dream of doing graduate
studies in Germany started after I had finished my Bachelor's. My main motivation behind selecting
Germany for my graduate studies has many reasons; Germany is going through a phase of advanced
digitization. It is leading the world in technological advances, As a result, the schools in the country
are increasingly producing great prospects in all sectors. The universities provide excellent teaching
capabilities that also ensure that the targeted students achieve their maximum potential. Thus,
ensuring that the students have bright futures with jobs throughout the world, advancing the career
of their graduates.

The MBA in Berlin School of Business and innovation* has a well-developed curriculum with a
comprehensive course structure which attracted me towards it. Varied subjects such as Business
Development & Innovation, Operations Management, Corporate Finance, and Legal Environment will
assist me in understanding business operations, financial aspects, and implementation of ideas at the
global level emphasizes practical training that gives it an edge over the other B-schools and its
educational model provides a unique approach to promote innovative thinking and is one of the main
reasons for my interest in pursuing the MBA from Berlin School of Business and innovation*.

I am fully conscious of the hard work and determination necessary for studying MBA, I am sure that
my aptitude and ambition will see me through any challenge. In the end, I will achieve my goals to give
something back to society. I will be grateful to you for considering me as a student at your prestigious
institute and giving me a chance to learn and also create a career that will act as an example for future
aspirants.
