Duration of the test: 90 minutes

Only Faculty approved calculators are allowed. No other aids are allowed. All problems carry the
same weight. Evaluation out of 10.

1. Show that the integral is independent of path and evaluate:

Z (2,2,ln 3)
e2z dx + 3y 2 dy + 2xe2z dz
(1,1,ln 3)

R 1/√2 R 1−y 2 2
2. Evaluate the integral 0 0

3. Apply Green’s theorem to find C ex dx + 2 tan−1 xdy where C is the triangle with vertices (0, 0),
H

(0, 1) and (−1, 1), oriented counter-clockwise.

4. Find the flux of F = −yi+xj+6z 2 k out of closed surface bounded by paraboloids z = 4−x2 −y 2
and z = x2 + y 2 .

5. Use Stokes’ theorem to evaluate C (x + 2z)dx + (3x + y)dy + (2y − z)dz; C is curve of intersection
of the plane x + 2y + z = 4 with the coordinate planes, oriented counter-clockwise if viewed from
above.
