Subject : Requesting Approval on Deploying Subcontractor Escalator Installation
Work.

Dear Sir,
This is to inform you that as per the revised target completion date informed by HKN, we have
been requested to complete all our escalator installation work without awaiting till completion of
pending civil construction in the waterfront site. Also, as there is lack of subcontractors in the
elevator field and previous escalator subcontractors who worked with Abans including Vietnam
team are not available at the moment, we would like to propose Mr. H.A.D.G.W KUMARA for
escalator installation work in order to manage with HKN target date of completion.

Mr. Kumara is experienced contractor for escalator installation and also farther of one of our testing
& commissioning engineer Mr. Chamikara. When we call Mr. Kumara for installation work, we
were informed by him to provide our manpower to carry out escalator installation under his
supervision since Mr. Kumar’s team is not available due to the prevailing COVID 19 situation in
the country.

Further as we need to finalize our installation work and inform to HKN ASAP, we requested our
team to work with Mr. Kumara only out of Abans working hours (especially between 8:00 pm to
2:00am) to immediately commence the work. As a result of this, we can deny our failure of
deploying subcontractors on HKN request as well as this is good opportunity to our team to
enhance their installation experience.
Therefore, considering above situation, we are hereby kindly request your advice and approval on
above subcontractor proposal or any alternative suggestion to expedite site work without fail.
