1. Are the students happy? You could follow up by asking students questions
2. Are the students tired? that begin with the Be verb and having them
3. Are the students cold? respond with a short answer in the affirmative.
4. Are the students sad? (E.g., Teacher asks, Are you happy? Student
5. Are the students thirsty? replies, Yes, I am.) You can also introduce short
6. Are the students sick? negative answers. (E.g., No, I’m not, No, the
7. Are the students healthy? student isn’t, etc.)
