In this assembly session you will assemble part of the right rear suspension system, preparing the leaf spring
that will be attached to the chassis later on.

Get the chassis and very
35C carefully put it upside down on
your work surface. Find the end
of the gear box and insert the linchpin on the
front coupling 35C (i.e. the coupling with the
smallest diameter), as shown in the
illustration.

Insert the two rear shock absorber cylinders 40F into the 40F 40F
holes indicated in the illustration, then secure with two type
AM screws. Insert a spring 40G into each of the two shock
absorber cylinders 40F.

Take the rear axle complete
with the leaf springs. Align the
38F ends of the leaf springs with the
chassis: the two rear reinforcement plates 38F and
39F go above the holes in the rear section of the
chassis 31A, while the front reinforcement
plates 38C and 39C line up with the holes in the
middle section of the chassis 30A. Insert the
linchpin on the rear coupling 35D into the
corresponding hole in the rear differential 36B.
Attention: you will also have to deal with the shock
absorbers in this assembly session, as illustrated in the
30A next step.

chassis, insert the rear shock
34E absorbers rods 40E into their
respective cylinders 40F. At this point, you can attach
40F the free end of the rear brake hose 34E to the linchpin
on the rear brake hose fitting 37H.

Turn the assembled piece over and insert
four type AM screws into the mounting
holes in the rear end of the chassis, then four
type FM screws into the holes in the middle.

Note that one side of the tyre 41A has «inside» written on it, and the other side has «outside»
on it. Slide the tyre valve 41C onto the small linchpin on the outside of rim 41B, and put the latter
on the outside of the tyre. Insert the inside of the rim 41D into the inside of the tyre 41A, and align

the holes and linchpins of the two parts of the rim. Secure the two pieces with three type HM screws. You have now
completed the left rear wheel.

Slide the wheel you have just assembled onto the left end of the rear axle, and secure it with a washer 41F and a
type IM screw. Finally, press the hub cover 41E onto the middle of the wheel.

You have now attached the rear axle to the chassis.


You have also assembled the left rear wheel and mounted
it on your model.

Slide the tyre valve 42C onto the
small linchpin on the outside of the rear
right tyre rim 42B.

MODEL BUILDING NOTE


The wheel you are assembling is a replica of the one installed on 42C
Dom Toretto's Dodge Charger R/T in the first Fast and Furious film.
• Tyre: Continental Sport Contact
• Front measurement: 255/45R18
• Rear measurement: 285/50R18

The tyre markings have been faithfully reproduced on all four tyres
of your model.

Note that one side of the tyre 42A has «inside» written on it,
and the other side has «outside» on it. Put the outside of the rim
42B on the outside of the tyre. Join the two pieces.

Insert the inside of the rim 42D into the inside of the 42B
tyre 42A, and align the holes and linchpins of the two
parts of the rim. Secure the two pieces with three type HM
screws. The right rear wheel is now ready to mount on your model.

Slide the wheel you have just assembled onto the right end of the rear axle 36A. Put a washer 42F onto the
middle of the wheel and secure it with a type IM screw. Don’t tighten it too much, otherwise the wheel won’t
move freely.

the middle of the outside of the rim 42B.

corresponding hole.

AN OVERVIEW
The battery holder will go at the back of the chassis, and can be opened
by removing the screw that comes with this stage.
To operate your model’s electrical system, you will need three batteries to
power the lighting system and produce the sound effects. These must be
connected to a control unit and a speaker, located in the central part of the
chassis. The small hole in the fuel tank will house a switch, which you can use
to turn your model’s electrical functions on and off whenever you like.

the lower panel 43A by joining the respective
