Embedded systems are computer systems that have a specific function within a larger

system. They are often used to control devices, sensors, or networks that require real-
time performance, low power consumption, or high reliability. Embedded systems can
range from simple microcontrollers to complex systems-on-chip (SoCs) that integrate
multiple processors, memory, and peripherals on a single chip.

Some examples of embedded systems are:

 Digital cameras: Embedded systems control the image processing, autofocus,

flash, and user interface of digital cameras. They also communicate with external
devices such as memory cards, computers, or printers.
 Smartwatches: Embedded systems enable smartwatches to perform various
functions such as displaying time, tracking fitness, monitoring health, receiving
notifications, and connecting to smartphones.
 Self-driving cars: Embedded systems are responsible for the perception,
planning, and control of self-driving cars. They use sensors such as cameras,
radars, lidars, and GPS to detect the environment and other vehicles. They also
use algorithms and artificial intelligence to plan the optimal route and execute
the driving actions.
