31 DEFECT LIABILITY PERIOD

31.1 Defect Liability Period” for this job shall be as per relevant clause of General Conditions of
Contract (GCC).

32 CHANGE ORDER CLAUSE:

Any change in Scope/Extra Item shall be handled as per the relevant and sub-Clauses thereby
of General Conditions of Contract (GCC).

33 PROCUREMENT OF TMT BARS, CEMENT AND STRUCTURAL STEEL,

ELECTRICAL ITEMS ETC. BY CONTRACTOR
33.1 Contract Clause for acceptance of Structural Steel & TMT Bars

33.1.1 Contractor shall procure these Items as per Annexure-X to this SCC attached in the Bidding
Document with prior intimation to Engineer-in-charge.

33.1.2 Tests after receipt of structural steel at site:

In addition to availability of valid MTCs (Manufacturer’s Test Certificates), for each category / size
of structural steel procured, one sample from every 50 MT or part thereof shall be drawn and tested
in approved laboratory. The charges for such testing shall be borne by the contractor.

33.1.3 Tests after receipt of TMT bars at site:

In addition to availability of valid MTCs (Manufacturer’s Test Certificates), sample as specified

under shall be drawn and tested in approved laboratory. The charges for such testing shall be borne
by the contractor.

i) Under 10 mm bars one sample for each 25 MT (or part thereof) for consignment below 100
MT and one sample each 40 MT (or part thereof) for consignment above 100 MT shall be
tested.

ii) For 10 mm to 16 mm bars, one sample for each 35 mm MT (or part thereof) for consignment
below 100 MT and one sample each 45 MT (or part thereof) for consignment above 100MT
shall be tested.

iii) Over 16 mm bars one sample for each 45 MT (or part thereof) for consignment below 100
MT and one sample each 50 MT (or part thereof) for consignment above 100 MT shall be
tested.
