If Roman Abramovich sells Chelsea FC, what impact would it have on the football

club?

The fans would be sad. Trust me seeing Roman Abramovich walk away will be a sad day.
Because he is not just an owner anymore, he is one of us. He is a blue. Just look at him
and his son crying when Chelsea won the Champions League and it becomes evident
how much he loves this club.

Now,as for the financial impact (i believe that is the point of this question) , nothing
drastic will happen. Chelsea is a different beast altogether now. It is a global brand and
has big sponsors. Abramovich has made it nearly self sufficient because he has always
known how important it is for Chelsea to be financially stable.

When Roman sells Chelsea, only someone as rich as him or even richer than him will be
able to buy it. There have been offers.

I cant remember the names but the richest man in UK made an offer this summer to buy
Chelsea. Another offer was made by a rich middle east prince (Like Man City).

The point is that even when Roman sells the club, it will be going into the hands of
peoppe just as rich as Roman atleast. So financially, Chelsea will be fine and still stay in
the hunt for trophies.

P.S : Roman is not going away any time soon. There are some issues right now due to
the political situation but things will calm down and it will be business as usual. After all
there is still a Stadium to be built ;)

Why is it that Chelsea is not attracting world-class footballers as easily as the early
Roman Abramovich years?
I can't remember anytime Chelsea attracted world class players. The truth is that
Jose Mourinho came to Stamford Bridge in 2003 and made average players became
truly world class.

Chelsea had always been a good average team in the EPL and nowhere to be found in
Europe until the arrival of the “special One”.

They had not made any strong presence in the champions league, but when Mourinho
came, he brought in the spirit that helped him to win the UCL trophy with Porto F.C

He immediately confessed he is the “special one” and everyone had to get used to it.

Sir Alex Ferguson was almost taken by shock to hear of this newbie declaration.

He studies the previous Chelsea squad before his arrival and brought some players that
will fit his winning mentality.
He went to Marseille and got their est striker who later became a Chelsea legend- Didier
Drogba.

He got other players as well and he took the EPL by storm…

Winning the EPL back to back.

Yes he did it without signing a Messi, Ronaldo, Kaka, Ronaldinho or Zidane.

It was more of his winning-mentality presence at the coaching stand and touch lines that
brought out extra adrenaline from the players bloodstream and fired them into glory.

Conclusion:

Jose Mourinho who brought Chelsea to the limelight didn't buy world class players at his
first spell at Chelsea.

The only two world class players that came to Chelsea were Andrily Shevchenko and
Michael Ballack who were total flop at the club.

They came to the club because the owner Abrahamovich wanted to see them play for
the club and not the coach's desire.
