Vision
A leading healthcare institution in Nigeria, providing quality, accessible, affordable, equitable,
sustainable healthcare services to the people of Gombe state.

Mission
The mission of the Gombe State Ministry of Health is to improve the health and well-being of
the people of Gombe State through the provision of quality healthcare services, the promotion of
healthy living, and disease prevention.

To achieve its mission, the ministry is committed to:

1. Providing accessible, affordable, financial risk protection and quality healthcare services
to all residents of Gombe State, especially the vulnerable and marginalized populations.

2. Promoting healthy living through health education, advocacy, and awareness campaigns
aimed at encouraging people to adopt healthy lifestyles and behaviors.

3. Preventing and controlling the spread of communicable and non-communicable diseases


through disease surveillance, early detection, and prompt response.

4. Strengthening the health system in Gombe state through capacity building, training and
development of health personnel, as well as improving health infrastructure and
equipment.

5. Collaboration with Federal Ministry of Health and other stakeholders in the health sector,
including development partners, NGOs, and the private sector, to leverage resources and
expertise towards improving the health of the people of Gombe State.

In general, the Gombe State Ministry of Health is dedicated to improving the health and well-
being of the Gombe state population, with a focus on ensuring that every resident has access to
quality healthcare services, regardless of their socioeconomic status or geographical location.
