Good morning,

My name is Yoanna Tsvetkova and I am a representative of the Bulgarian school SOU "Tsanko
Tserkovksi". Our school is a state-funded comprehensive school and is located in a small town in
North-central Bulgaria, which is primarily an agricultural region. Over 800 (eight hundred) students
aged 5 to 19 attend SOU "Tsanko Tserkovski". At the high school level, our school offers a general
education curriculum as well as specialized training in the fields of business and entrepreneurship
and agriculture. My classmates and I follow the general education curriculum which prepares
students for university entry by allowing them to focus on their subjects of interest. As a result,
some of my classmates study the humanities and foreign languages in depth, while others focus on
the sciences. Although we have different academic interests, we all would like to know more about
the European Union, its institutions and policies and the impact they have on each of the member
states. We also aspire to be active citizens who are involved in shaping the future of our shared
community.

In conclusion, we would like to thank you for the opportunity to be here in the European Parliament
and participate in the Euroscola program. We hope this experience will be beneficial for us as
European citizens and allow us to better understand and appreciate the work of this institution.

Once again, thank you!
