1. How do you demonstrate excellence?

When I demonstrate excellence, I commit myself to the task at hand and learn from the mistakes I make in the process.

My commitment is the force that propels me on the path ahead of me. To achieve this, I never quit on my goal/task, no

matter how challenging it may seem. For example, it could be as small as solving a rubix's cube or finish a month of

summer school. Next, I am never afraid to face tough obstacles, even if it means getting out of my comfort zone where

making lots of mistakes may even lead to failure. Instead of viewing failure as a negative experience, I view it as a

valuable learning opportunity. My summer school course about python coding last sumer was one such example. When
I first started, I thought about quiting because it was so difficult for me to grasp, but I hate to quit. Fortunately, my father

suggested I practice at home so I would understand it better. As a result of his adive, I learned python coding much

faster and had lots of fun while doing it.

2. How do you demonstrate responsibility?

To demonstrate my responsibility, I use strong time management skills for everything, especially to organize my time

efficiently, stay on top of my daily tasks and attend extracurricular activities on time.To plan my day efficiently, I always

prioritize which tasks are more important than others.By doing my work first and then having fun later, I am able to make

my day run smoothly. I then organize all my work with binders and dividers. This allows me to locate all my work quickly

and have adequate time to prepare for upcoming assignments and tasks.Lastly, I use my planner to keep track of the

dates and times for extracurriculars. I do this so I can make time in my day to arrive on time. Since it is better to be early

than be late. To provide an example, I always hand in my assignmentson time as a result of how I organize my work.

With these skills I demonstrate responsibility every day.

3. How do you demonstrate respect?

While respect has many aspects and meaning, I like to show it by respecting everyone around me. From a very young

age, I was taught the golden rule to treat others as you would like to be treated. I always follow the rules to show respect

My approach to being a team player is to listen to all my colleague's opinions and ideas since all types of feedback are

very important. As a result, I try to help others see their mistakes in the same way they did for me. Finally, I acknowledge

and appreciate the efforts of all my team members, by giving them credit where it is due. Additionally, I learned that

saying something as simple as "Thank You" can go a long way, and I might also gain a new friend. As an example, I was

I was part of a team project to build a roller coaster out of paper. Everyone pitched their ideas and we decided together

on one. We eventually all became friends as a result of helping and valuing each other's work.
4. Why is this award important to you?
For me, this award is extremely important because I can learn about setting goals, which is choosing

a goal to accomplish, then trying my best to achieve it. Additionally, I can gain information and

practice while completing this application. The process of setting goals involves choosing what

you want to accomplish and putting in the work to achieve it. This is why I have chosen to finish this

application as my first goal to accomplish The second reason is to learn how to write a strong

application and practicing is one of the best ways to learn. Therefore, this application is an

excellent opportunity to learn this skill for the following years, when I need to fill in scholarship and

employment applications. These are the two main reasons why this award is fundamental for me.

5. Have you overcome any major challenges in your life? How did you overcome them?
As a kid, I had to overcome many difficult obstacles, but the language barrier was one of the most

challenging. When I speak my mother's language (Sindhi) at home, I always mix up words from

other languages like Urdu. On the other hand, my school only offered English-speaking classes

,so I had to learn another language. As a result, I mixed up words more often and had difficulty

pronouncing certain combinations of letters like (sh). My parents helped me practice at home and

took me to private English classes so I could overcome this problem. After an entire year of

dedication, I could finally speak Sindhi and English fluently. Having faced this obstacle, I had learned

that by never giving up, I can accomplish anything.
