    Chemicals which are used to reduce the acidity of the stomach


    Antihistamines or Antiallergic drugs
    ● Histamine is responsible for the nasal congestion associated with
    common cold and allergic response to pollen.
    ● Antihistamines are the drugs which diminish or abolish the effects of
    histamine.
    ● Synthetic drugs, brompheniramine (Dimetapp) and terfenadine
    (Seldane), act as antihistamines.

    ● Noradrenaline is a mood change neurotransmitter. Iproniazid and phenelzine are antidepressant drugs.
