WHAT THE DIRECTORATE DOES

The Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate (CMTEDD) leads the public
sector and works collaboratively both within government and with the community to
achieve positive outcomes.

As a central agency, CMTEDD provides strategic advice and support to the Chief Minister, the
Directorate’s Ministers and the Cabinet on policy, economic and financial matters, service delivery,
whole of government issues and intergovernmental relations. The Directorate facilitates the
implementation of government priorities, drives initiatives as well as leads the strategic direction
for the ACT Public Service (ACTPS), to ensure that it is well positioned to perform its role.

WHAT WE DO

Division Overview
Corporate provides a range of strategic, governance, organisational development, administrative
and human resource functions for the Chief Minister and Treasury and Economic Development
Directorate. The Executive Director is also the CMTEDD Senior Executive Responsible for Business
Integrity and Risk.

Business Unit Overview


Corporate Management provides support to the Directorate in relation to governance framework
and corporate policies and performance reporting; freedom of information coordination; records
management; information privacy; risk and fraud management; internal audit; business continuity
management; IM/ICT Committee and IM/ICT Strategic Plan; on site (Nara) ICT support (non SSICT
functions); Ministerial, Executive and Government business tracking, coordination and reporting;
facilities and fleet management; security matters; and environmental sustainability.

YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the guidance of the CMTEDD Records Mananger undertake work that supports an archiving
and sentencing project, that would include:

1. Utilising the Whole of Government Records Disposals Schedules to appraise and sentence
CMTEDD records.

2. Preparing documentation for the disposal of CMTEDD records.

3. Packing, documenting and preparing records for removal to secondary storage.

 This position requires the ability to work in a manual handling environment.


 This postion does not require a Working with Vulnerable People Check.

SELECTION CRITERIA
1. A demonstrated competence and experience with sentencing and disposal of government
reocrds using appropriate retention and disposal schedules.
2. A sound knowledge of relevant records management legislation, polices and procedures and
an understanding of the principles for handling sensitive information.
3. Proven ability to be accurate, self-motivated, and use initiative to solve problems by reference
to documented procuedures, methods and instructions.
4. Understand and work within the ACTPS Code of Conduct and ACTPS values of respect,
integrity, collaboration and innovation, and model behaviour consistent with the ACTPS
Respect Equity and Diversity framework
