Good morning, everyone and welcome to my presentation.

First of all, let me thank all

for coming here today. This talk is designed to act as a springboard for discussion about
my graduation thesis. In my presentation, I will focus on three major issues and the last
one is the references, which I used.

My first point concerns are architectural overview

Slide 4. Nowaday diseases are putting the worldwide health association in an urgent
situation, resulting in the increase in deaths. This has caused international investors and
the government to be concerned about the need to build high-quality health facilities
equipped with cutting-edge technology.

And this is also the reason why student make a decision to design HOAN MY General
Hospital for the graduation thesis.

Slide 5. Give information about location

 291 Nguyen Van Linh, Thanh Khue District, Da Nang City.

 Convenient position for accessing and leaving the hospital, adjacent to the major
road.

Slide 10. Structural Design

Slide 11. Thesis objectives

 Design of typical slab of the second floor

 Design of typical frame (beams, columns, shear walls) of grid 3

 Slide 12. Structural solution for slab

In general, the slab appropriate to any given set of conditions should be adequate in term
of performance and economy. Each slab has its own perks, but I would lean towards the
benefits that conventional slab brings to. First of all, we need to list the economical
solution that the contractor as well as the client desired. Even though, it does not create
the picturesque view as a waffle slab does but in the practical projects, conventional slab
is simple to construct and minimize the floor height due to the beam’s height and
constantly keep it safety for the usage. Last but not least, nowadays, this kind of slab is
commonly designed in multistorey buildings in Viet Nam particularly. So, conventional
slab is the top priority for this project.

Slide 13. Structural solution for shear walls and frame

In general, based on some criteria as: Flexible space, Convenient construction, Load
capacity, and as far as student is concerned about the cost most, therefore “Shear walls –
Frame and Beams – Slabs system” will be selected for analysis and design of HOAN MY
Hospital.

Slide 14 and 15. Material and action acting on structures is illustrated specifically in the
graduation thesis. Then, modeling the whole structures into the ETABS to calculate the
internal forces and analyze the structures subjected to the dynamic load or earthquake.

Slide 16. Determine the preliminary for each of the following four structural components:
the slabs, the beams, the columns, and the shear walls. Calculating the reinforcement and
deflection controls requires identifying the internal force, which may be done using a
variety of structural design tools (such as ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, and so on).

Slide 17. Wind and seismic activity are the most prevalent types of dynamic activities. As
a result, regarding the design of high-rise structures. It is essential that these lines of
action be taken into account. You should then specify the load combinations for the
structures.
Slide 18 to Slide 25: Student show the calculation and results specifically in Graduation
Thesis as well as in Annex

In the construction of Hoan My Hospital, the main staircase is located in the center of
the two walls behind the elevator core, and the auxiliary stairs are located at the bottom
right corner of the building

Slide 29. Foundation design

Slide 33. Foundation comparison

As long as both choices meet the necessary technical and construction standards, the
most important consideration in choosing one over the other is cost-effectiveness.
As a result, we will go for the bored pile approach rather than the spun pile method since
it will save us a significant amount of material.

Finally, we would like to apologize for the drawbacks of knowledge, therefore we are
over the moon to receive sincere feedback from our teacher and see it as an essential
piece of equipment in our career in the future.
