Learning: The lesson aims to provide proper record taking of complainant statement that will both show
competence of the officer and the Belize Police Department.
Instructional Objectives:

Through class discussion on statement taking, using a PowerPoint presentation, scenario and a game,
participants will be able to:

C - Explain what is a statement


I - List and discuss the types of statements
C - Distinguishes between the factual detail and the offense detail.
A - Value the importance of proper complainant statement taking.
P – Create a complainant statement with its proper components with 80% accuracy.

Using the Kahoots game, the instructor will summarize the lesson with the students to make sure that students
are well informed on how to record a proper statement, what is the different type of statements, factual
details, offence details and the purpose of taking a statement.

Kahoot game to achieve equilibrium
and promote learning in a new
environment.
