 Integrity vs Ethics
• Integrity: defined as the quality of a person’s
character, requiring being honest, fair and responsible (which is more
internal related to character). It may be applied to objects/
organizations/etc. where it is used to indicate unity, purity,
wholeness, etc.
and
• Ethics: defined as codes, rules and regulations that have been formed
which allow an individual to work in accordance to moral principles
(which is more external under values)

Although most of reviewers follow the standard
practice of not forcing authors whose works are
being reviewed to cite the reviewers' prior
publications (relevant to the publication or not),
there has been an increasing unethical trend
violating this principle!

The reviewers are expected to avoid the practice of
requiring authors to cite multiple works of theirs,
irrespective of relevance to the respective
manuscript.
