1. SCOPE OF WORKS

 General maintenance will be carried out for LV Panel such as proper operation of
ACBs, MCCBs and Devices etc.
 General clearing of dust and foreign particles etc.
 Check all bolted connections applicable for bus bar and devices.
 Check operation of indicating lamps, meter and electrical operating components.
 Mechanical operation of all the devices to be carried out to ensure proper
operations.
 Electrical continuity of MCCB devices.
 Insulation resistance check.

2. TOOLS AND TESTING EQUIPMENT


A. Cleaning

2. WD-40 (Rust Preventer).

4. PERMIT REQUIREMENT:

1. Work permit approval from Qatar Airways Engineer to be obtained prior start
of maintenance of LV Panel.
2. Prior permission must be obtained from Qatar Airways Engineer to disconnect
power supply.

5. RESPONSIBILITY:

Facility Engineer
Implement and ensure that all personnel perform their relative duties and
responsibilities on the given activity in accordance with the standard practicing
procedure.

Supervisor
The supervisor will be responsible for ensuring and implementing the client’s
standards and procedure.

HSE Officer
Strictly implement the safety rules and procedures for entire duration of
maintenance activity and ensure required signs, barricades and necessary safety
precautions are in place.

6. RISK ANALYSIS:

7. HEALTH AND SAFETY:

The following procedures are to be taken care during the maintenance of LV
PANEL:
a) To have adequate information about the LV PANEL which is going to be serviced /
maintained?
b) When monitoring or fault findings are to be carried out, doors, covers etc should
be removed, proper tools and gloves should be used and adequate notices to be
displayed.
c) Good working practices necessitates that the work place should be kept clean and
tidy and proper procedures followed. All short cuts must be avoided in order to
achieve safety.
d) Before starting any activity on the LV PANEL, ensure that the Main breaker is
completely de-energized.
e) Do not put your hands inside the ACB, when the main spring is charged.
f) Ensure your hands are free and away from the ACB mechanism, while tripping
the breaker manually.
g) All necessary safety measures should be taken care off during the commissioning
and qualified personnel to be engaged.
