According to medical dictionary, pyknosis involves the shrinkage or condensation of a cell with
increased nuclear compactness or density.
According to medical dictionary, karyorrhexis is the loss of function of a cellular process
involving fragmentation of nucleus and the breakup of the chromatin in unstructured granules.
According to Collins English dictionary, karyolysis is the disintegration and dissolution of a
necrotic cell.

Pyknosis is involved in apoptosis because apoptotic cells appear shrunken and the chromatic in
the nucleus aggregates into a dense mass which can fragment. Says,” L.A Burgoyne” (1999).

Karyorrhexis is involved in necrosis because necrotic cells are composed of a continuum of

effects and its nuclear membrane is raptured. There is disrupted tissue structure.
Karyolysis involves in necrosis because according to ResearchGate said that it is the melting of
nucleus chromatin with enzyme from lysosomes of the dead cell. This happens when there is a
severe damage to membrane, lysosomes enzymes enter the cytoplasm and digest the cell.
