INTRODUCTION:

Every year millions of tons of agricultural waste are generated.

These are either non‐used or burnt inefficiently in their loose form causing
air pollution. So, Biomass Briquetting is the process of converting this low bulk
density biomass into high density and energy concentrated fuel briquettes and
thus JAY KHODIYAR MACHINE TOOLS is proud to achieve the motto
which is “Converting Agro Waste in Gold”

WHAT IS BIOMASS BRIQUETTING?

Biomass briquettes are the forth coming fuel in the world. It is a Non conventional Source of energy, Renewable in
nature, Eco friendly, non polluting and economical. Briquettes are made from the Agriculture waste and forestry
waste. It is been converted into solid cylindrical shape. And great substitute of Coal, lignite, fire wood etc. And
Process of converting biomass to solid fuel is also non‐polluting. N o addition of any binder / chemicals is required
so it is 100 % natural.

WHAT CAN BE USED TO MAKE BRIQUETTES?

The major residues which can be used to make briquettes are Cotton Stalk, Cotton Pods, Baggasse, Groundnut
shells, Mustard stalks, Rice Husk, Sugar cane Trash, corn cob, coffee husk, paddy husk, straw , coconut shell, Coir
Pith, soya bean husk, mustard stalk, Sawdust etc. are available in huge quantity.

WHY BIOCOAL?
• Re new able energy fuel
• Pollution free because there is no any sulfur material.
• Briquettes are usually produced near the consumption center sand supplies do
not depend on erratic transport from long distances
• Biomass briquettes have a higher practical thermal value
• Lower ash content (1to3%) compared to coal (20to25%)
• There is no fly ash when burning briquettes.
• Briquettes contains low moisture (2to3%) compare to coal (20to25%)
• A briquette produces white smoke where coal produces black smoke.
• Have high burning efficiency and are cheaper then coal
• Best substitute source of energy.
• Contain high density Higher fixed carbon value
• Demandable market due to high rise in fossil fuel prices.
• Using briquettes will beneficial for the industries as they will get carbon credit.

WHERE FINAL PRODUCT CAN APPLY?

Briquettes are ready substitute. Biomass briquettes are Non conventional Source of energy,
Renewable in nature, Eco friendly, non polluting and economical. Process of converting biomass to
solid fuel is also non‐polluting.
