Food is a nutritious substance that living organisms eat, drink or absorb to
maintain life processes.
Food is essential for all living organisms.
Functions of Food :
a) It provides energy to perform work, growth and development of the body
b) Maintains the functions of the body organs
c) Maintains good health.
d) Heals wounds and prevents wear and tear of body parts.
