1. is an expression that is used to give to help someone


2. The purpose is to offer assistance for someone who is doing something politely. There
are two kinds of offering help: informal offers and formal offers.
3. Generic Structure: the structure of offering help or service is the structure of question,
namely Wh-+Aux+S+ V and Aux +S

Accepting: That would be helpful
Rejecting: no, thank you

Accepting: How kind of you. Thank you.
Rejecting: Thank you But I can do it by myself.
• Would it be helpful if I help you?
Accepting: Yes, if you don’t mind
Rejecting: Then for your app. But I don't need any help
