57Fewer young people do farming work in rural areas. Why?

Should young people be

encouraged to do farming work?

Nowadays, it is a common belief that fewer youngsters find themselves interested in agriculture-
based work in rural places. While there are several reasons behind this trend, I firmly believe that
people should encourage the youths to follow the farming path.

The main cause of fewer teens wanting to become farmers is their negative sight towards jobs in
rural areas. Since farming is often believed to be associated with hardship and poverty, teenagers
see farming and cattle feeding as low-wage occupations yet they require a remarkable workload
and life skills, which never provide the job satisfaction, consisting of the ability to notice the
changes in weather, patience, taking care of crops and so on. Moreover, apart from doing
farming work, young people can still have more job opportunities. By being able to access to the
Internet, the new generation is able to know more vocational jobs that are financially stable and
more profitable than farming work.

However, I think it is necessary to engage the youths in agriculture works because without the
new generation’s workforce, there will be no source to provide food and agricultural products.
There is a fact that almost all the meat and the vegetables we daily consume is from the effort of
the farm workers. As a result, there is a recommendation for teenagers to stay involved in to
conjoin the career. Additionally, some young individuals are used to technologies and the
application of their knowledge and modern devices in agriculture can lead to major development.
For example, using remote-controlled helicopters to spray fertilizer or installing water-blowing
systems that can automatically water the plants.

In conclusion, it is clear that there is a decreasing number of teenagers wishing to work in rural
areas. However, the young workforce and the innovation-based initiatives make it essential to
encourage youngster to engage in farming work.

Nowadays, there has been a decreasing number of teenagers being interested in agriculture-based
jobs in rural areas. More young people avoiding farming work is due to some specific reasons,
and I believe they should be encouraged to become farmers.

Fewer youngster want to develop their future career as a farmer because the negative sight
towards jobs in rural areas has been common in each person's thought. It is the fact that farming
jobs cannot provide people a stable salary and an enough level of job satisfaction. Occupations
like farming and cattle feeding often requires a remarkable workload and external factors such as
temperature, weather, bacteria and disease make the youths more difficult to get involved in and
enjoy such an extreme nature of work.
However, I think it is necessary to encourage the youths in agriculture works so as to create the
subsequent workforce to provide food and agricultural products. There is a fact that almost all
the meat and the vegetables we daily consume is from the effort of the farm workers. As a result,
there is a recommendation for teenagers to stay involved in to conjoin the career. Additionally,
workers who are intellectual and technologically prepared can provide a better working
effectiveness. By applying knowledge and modern devices in agriculture, there is a commitment
for the young farmers to manufacture products with higher quality. Therefore they can have a
stable income to live off their jobs. Moreover, thanks to the sponsor of the government regards to
buying farming products by the end of the period, the jobs satisfaction will be somehow
increased.

In conclusion, it is understandable why fewer teenagers wish to find jobs in rural areas.
However, the demands of the young workforce and the innovation-based initiatives make it
essential to encourage youngster to engage in farming work.
