6:30pm.

At 7pm he goes to tuition and then at 9pm goes to shop again. At around 9:30

use fb.
During weekends or when he takes leave from tuition/school, he makes reels since
he likes to do that and post them on stories (insta) or share on whatsapp status.
Problems faced in daily life - Nothing as such. He loves his brother and loves
helping him out.
About his purchase journey
He wanted the phone for calling and gaming purpose since all his friends used
to play pubg.
His old phone was oppo which was of 2gb and used to hang a lot. Now his
new phone has a better camera.
He didn’t want phone for online classes since his school was shut down during
online classes.
“Age ke hisaab se zaroorat padhti hai isiliye phone liya”.
He asked his elder sister and she convinced the brother (who takes all
decisions) to buy him a phone.
They were aware of online shopping so they randomly searched for phones on
amazon.
Found techno the cheapest with a offer - bluetooth device free - although the
device wasn’t working properly 2 months later. (usually likes online shopping
when offers are there).
They ordered the phone and paid 9k cash on delivery.
About his purchase journey
Decision maker and budget decider- his brother decided the budget and brand was chosen
randomly by him because it was cheap. He himself has vivo.
He takes all decisions of house.
Occupation - has a vegetable shop and earns 20-25k (including income of father as well -
works in tile shop)
Brand consideration - he had no idea about good brands. His brother decided on this
brand.
Influence of any person on brand purchase - his friends kind of motivated him to buy a
phone because they used to play pubg. But not strong influence of his friends since he
listens to his brother.
His view on good brand - “Jitne se jitna mehenga loge phone utna accha hota hai jaise
iphone”
A phone should have good camera (for making reels), storage (for downloading games like
pubg), RAM (6-8gb)

His parents didn’t disagree since they were already planning to buy a phone
for him and surprise him.
They searched online on flipkart together the next day because it is good for

About his purchase journey
Pubg was the main reason so he decided to buy a phone.
He talked to his father regarding the new phone since his previous phone MI used
to heat up quickly and there were lots of news of MI phones exploding and his
father was aware of such news so he agreed to buy a good phone.
He was saving a bit for a long time so he decided to buy him an expensive
phone. Also at that time Ankit earned some money from the share market.
He went to the retailer with his father the next day.
“Shop par gye the tab hi brand pata chala. Tab papa ke saath gya tha kyuki paise
unhe dene the”
Budget was decided on the spot and so was the brand. It was recommended by
the retailer.
The price was 19990 but insurance and other expenses - 23k.

Cash was given on an emi basis (the retailer knew him).- “ikkhate paise dena accha
nhi lagta”
About his purchase journey
Decision maker and budget decider- His father doesn’t have a lot of control on
decision making. He pretty much listens and completes all the wishes of his
children.
Occupation - tile work - earns 30k - depends on the work
Brand consideration - he (Ankit) wanted an iphone but that was realistically not
possible. He knew samsung, Oppo were good brands. His father doesn’t have a
lot of information regarding brands.
Influence of any person on brand purchase - retailers (mostly) and friends play
an important role in influencing. He usually takes recommendations from his
friends and elder brother..
His view on good brand - for him expensive phones are good brands.

About his purchase journey
After migrating here (he came from a village in bihar), he started working
so his father himself suggested to buy a phone for calling purpose. He
wanted a phone for free fire game. Both came into a mutual decision to
buy a phone but it should be cheap.
After a week they both went to the retail store. They had no pre
decided brand so the purchase was totally based on retailer’s
recommendation.
First phone which they chose was of vivo but it was very expensive
(doesn’t remember the price)
Then retailer suggested this brand. Both were satisfied with price and
features.
Bought the current phone for 10k.
About his purchase journey
Decision maker and budget decider- his father usually takes all the decisions
for the house. So his father decided the budget for the current phone. He
himself has oppo 53 phone.
Occupation - works in a house paint office - earns 10k
Total monthly income - 28.5k [mom works as a maid - 9k, Alinger earns - 9.5k]

His father had oppo so they only knew that brand. Earlier Alinger was using itel
(which is not a touch phone).
Have heard about samsung but didn’t know if they should buy or not
Influence of any person on brand purchase - his father and retailer because the
purchase totally depends on price.

since his old phone was not working properly. It used to hang a lot.
Budget was mutually decided at home. “Mehenge phone ka kya karna hai” -
so it was decided that it should be below 10k only.
He went to the retail store himself since his parents trust him and they are
not aware about the brands. He asked the retailer for recommendations
for phone less than 10k.
He was suggested samsung but it was double the cost of the current

About his purchase journey
He started working and since had to go far from his home so his father

need any phone. It was only after covid he needed one.
His father gave him 10k and told him to go alone since he had no idea
about brands and he can only decide the budget for him.
He went alone since he knew the retailer (in vaishali - sec 4)- he went with
a hope to get a bit discount.
The brand was random and was recommended by retailer since it was the
cheapest amongst others.
He paid 10k in cash. (he got discount of 1k)
