I think that it’s more Important keep your old friends than make new friends and, in this

essay, I’m
going to explain why. I genuinely believe that not everyone can be your friend because for me
friendship means support, care and showing interest in the other persons conflicts, feelings and
wishes, and obviously, that person must give you the same support as well. So, as long as the two
persons give each other the things that I mentioned a true friendship can be formed. What I’m
trying to say with this is that if you found someone that gives you all the attention and support
why would you change it for a person that you barely know? In my case I would never do such a
thing.

Unlike other persons a real friend will be with you in your worst moments, don’t matter what
situation you are in, and that is the main reason why real friends are more important than others.
For example, I remember that when I was in middle school my cat died and I was devastated. That
feeling got worse when the persons that I considered my “friends” just made fun of me because
they thought that my reaction was exaggerated, and that made me feel incredibly sad. However,
one of my classmates saw how they treated me, and she tried to support me, and with the time
we became close friends. Now days we still been friends, and she is very important in my life
because she supported me in that difficult moment and in a lot more that came after, and I know
that is something special, because not everyone cares about you. So, as I said before, I would
never change her friendship for some one that I just met.

With this I’m not saying that you shouldn’t make new friends, but it´s important to have always in
mind that your real friends, the ones that always supported you, are more important than
someone that you just met.
