SOLDIERS' CHORUS
Founded in 1957, the Soldiers' Chorus is the vocal complement of the
United States Army Field Band of Washington, DC. The mixed choral
ensemble travels throughout the nation and abroad, performing as a
separate component and in joint concerts with the Concert Band of
the “Musical Ambassadors of the Army.” The chorus has performed in
all fifty states, Canada, Mexico, India, the Far East, and throughout
Europe, entertaining audiences of all ages.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Perform as a vocal soloist and singer in the Soldiers' Chorus of The
U.S. Army Field Band
Tour approximately 100-120 days per year in the U.S and abroad
Perform in small ensembles
Present programs in schools across the nation
Refine and learn new skills through additional duties

QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional performance experience preferred
Exceptional stage presence as a soloist and ensemble vocalist for
live and virtual audiences
Meet Army height/weight standards and maintain a trim
appearance
Civilian applicants must be 17-34 years of age
U.S. Citizen or other qualified resident

SALARY & BENEFITS


Starting salary $70,000-75,000 annually
30 days paid vacation annually
Medical and Dental care, plus medical care for immediate family
members
Post Exchange and Commissary privileges
Money for additional education

Steps:
1. Send a recent resumé with your complete physical address,

2. Share YouTube video links with

acceptable).
3. Videos should include ALL of the following:
• Two contrasting contemporary selections demonstrating
commercial performance capabilities (to be selected from current
pop, country, Latin, rock, jazz or R&B repertoire)
• One selection from the following musical styles: Musical
Theater, Opera, or Art Song
• A cappella performance of the National Anthem

Following evaluation of submitted materials, select applicants will be


invited for an in-person audition and interview. The U.S. Army will pay
travel expenses for those applicants upon meeting aptitude, physical,
and behavioral standards. Military personnel must be eligible for
permanent change of station, submit an Intent to Release
memorandum from their unit Commander, and submit and a Soldier
Record Brief or equivalent. Questions regarding the audition can be
