ANNA: Over the years we have seen that smiling is a sign of affection, hipocrisy or even in

grattitude for a favour.

Today we will talk about aesthetic preferences, the benefits about smiling and also the fact that in
some cultures or other countrys, it is not as good sign as here in México.

PAME: Smiling… we all do it, put on happy face throughout the day whether it be genuine or not;
maybe you laughed at a joke, or just, simply faked it to be polite, but the bottom line is, no matter
why or how you do it, there are countless benefits for doing this, especially when it comes to your
health.

In fact, studies have shown that smiling can help you to live better, happier and longer; it is proven
that if you smile, it can make you feel in the best way in the worst situation; Also, when you smile
you are producting the same stimulation level than 2000 chocolate tablets and can extend
people's longevity according to some studies, something amazing!

Sadly, many people of different cultures doesn’t have the opportunity of enjoying this kind of
benefits. For example, in Rusia, when someone smiles to you without a purpose, it is considered
with low intelligence or with a mental disease.

In the United States, it is a common gesture, and this because they understand that the smile it is
not the real reflection of how are you feeling.

And in countrys like Germany, Switzerland, China and Malaysia, a person who smiles a lot, it is
considered more intelligent than the one that doesn’t practice this gesture.

It is necessary to know the importance of our smile, the face is the main part of the appeal, and
many studdies reflect that when we see a person for the first time, the 31% pay attention to the
mouth, and the other 41% the eyes

Normally when we don’t have part of this harmonic appearance, we are not considered atractive
enough, and this is a principal issue for the teenagers, this affects their self-esteem, and many of
them get depressed for the fact that thay are not accepted by the society; ; so, a smile is the result
of the harmonic appearance of the dental pieces and the lips.

You are totally right, nowadays we live in a highly competitive society and the physical
attractiveness of the person becomes vitally important when it comes to achieving success, both
emotionally and in the work environment, an attractive person receives better treatment than
unattractive people, for the same reason each we are increasingly aware of the importance of
aesthetics. Beauty is not absolute, as it is dictated by cultural factors and individual preferences.

Thanks to this, the teenagers often go with dentists to fix any defect or problem in their mouths,
contributing to the work increase for us and…

To conclude, try to smile every day, you will get a healthier life! But, try not to do it on the wrong
countries, or you will get considered like a fool or someone with a mental disease.
