Expression in Dance
Expression in dance means the way how the dancer conveys their emotions to the audience
through their body movement and facial expressions. During the beginning of the dance and
also overall in the video, the three dancers have very remorseful faces. The dance portrays sad
and mostly negative feelings. The body movements in the dance are strong and quite tense.
However, there are some parts in the dance where the music slows down along with the dance
and therefore it shows the sad mood of it. At the end, the girl turns to look at the two boys with
a little bit of loathing and she also looked somewhat disturbed. On the other hand, the boys
looked at her with grief in their faces. In my opinion, I think the arm movements helps to
further portray the sad and remorseful feeling. The dance gives a very sorrowful and miserable
feeling.
