tunnel. Understanding the aerodynamics around a shape in many industries, especially aerospace, automotive, and wind energy, is crucial. By simulating various wind conditions in a wind tunnel, engineers can test and optimize designs before they are produced, leading to more efficient and cost-effective products. To produce industry-ready engineers, our students understand the flow characteristics in theory and learn a skill to simulate wind conditions around a prototype to obtain drag and lift forces from digital sensors. They use these results to estimate results for the full-scale bodies. ================================== Psychometric Test rig The experimental setup we are looking at here is called Psychometric Test Rig; it is helpful to appreciate the air conditioning logic better. Interested students simulate air conditioning on the Psychometric Test Rig, as you can notice a closed chamber here. This chamber and its surroundings are equivalent to a room's indoor and outdoor conditions; students can perform a combination of multiple industrial thermodynamic processes to achieve human comfort or desired conditions. It allows us to test and measure the performance of air conditioning systems under different temperature and humidity conditions. The test rig consists of a climate chamber set to different temperature and humidity conditions and a range of instruments and sensors to measure various parameters such as airflow rate, temperature, and humidity. Overall, the Psychometric Test Rig is an essential tool for the air conditioning and refrigeration industry, allowing engineers to test and optimize the performance of these systems for maximum efficiency and energy savings. Heat Exchanger Heat exchangers are essential to many industrial processes, including power generation, chemical processing, and HVAC systems. Heat exchangers transfer heat from one fluid to another, and their performance is critical to the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of these processes. The Heat Exchanger Experiment setup with us allows students to test and measure the performance of heat exchangers under different conditions, such as flow rates, fluid temperatures, and pressure drops. The Heat Exchanger Experiment setup consists of a test rig with a heat exchanger, a pump system, and a range of instruments and sensors to measure various parameters such as fluid temperature, flow rate, and pressure drop. To conduct a test, two fluids are passed through the heat exchanger, with one fluid being used to transfer heat to the other. The performance of the heat exchanger is then measured and recorded, including the heat transfer rate, pressure drop, and overall efficiency.
