Writing test

1. Think about a time in your life that was extremely busy. Why was it so busy? What had
you done by the end of the time period? Use the past perfect and ‘already’ or ‘yet’ in
some of your sentences. Write five to six sentences.

Everyone passes busy times in Their life and specific times to be busy, some of those time I
will not forget. It was during my final semester at the university, I was already involved in
several volunteered community work and yet not finished my seminar papers. I had to
balance between my life and full course semester. At the end I was very proud of myself I
got a good grade.

2. Create a conversation for one of the following situations. Each person should say at least
two things (four lines of dialog).

•You ask a friend to recommend a doctor.

•You call the receptionist at the doctor’s office and make an appointment.

•You arrive at the office and are greeted by the receptionist.

•The doctor asks you what problem you are having and suggests a treatment.

Raghad: Good Morning! Is this Dr. Salem's clinic?

Receptionist: Good Morning Ma'am, yes this is the right place. How may I help you?

Raghad: I wanted to take an appointment with Dr. Salem for some time during the day.

Receptionist: Sure Ma'am, let me just check his appointment sheet for the day. Could you
please hold on for two minutes?

Raghad: Sure, go ahead.

A few minutes later...

Receptionist: Thank you for staying on hold, Ma'am. Dr. Salem will be available between
the time slot of 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. What time should I schedule your appointment for?

Raghad: Could you fix my appointment for 5 p.m. please?

Receptionist: Sure Ma'am. See you at 5 p.m.
