WIFFSA Background:
WIFFSA is an NPO aimed and dedicated to the development of female football in South
Africa. Part of the aim is to ensure that academic institutions are a home for sports
development, especially in football for women. WIFFSA was founded in 2016, however, due
to the Covid 19 pandemic and other societal factors it was only established in 2023.
Concern for the need of an organisation like WIFFSA was because we only have a few
female soccer players in South Africa and there are no organisations encouraging the
development of sports for females. Therefore, WIFFSA is there to facilitate the participation
of women in football and creating a conclusive environment.
Vision:
Our vision is to create an alternative platform for the development of female football, to
identify talent and bring it into the right platforms that will help in developing it. Not only are
we developing players but also football administrators, coaches, sports medical practitioners,
etc.
WIFFSA will not be responsible for the establishment of soccer teams, but we will be
encouraging the establishment of the teams by providing the necessary tools and resources
thereof. We as WIFFSA are established as a support system for the development of female
football and we will be working with different partners.
Key Objectives:

 Conduct research and present it on different media platforms.
