Thrilled to share that I've successfully cleared the PMI Portfolio Management exam this
month! 🎉 Despite a tight timeline and a rollercoaster journey, I managed to ace it with just
around 5 days of focused study.

Life threw a few curveballs my way, leading to a couple of extension requests to my eligibility
period. With the clock ticking down and no further extensions possible, I took the plunge and
booked the exam. Just 2 days before my eligibility period expired, I secured a slot. Talk about
a nail-biting experience! 😅

My strategy?

Leverage Peer Wisdom: Connected with friends who've aced the exam – their insights were of
great help

Key Point Summaries: Read the book and distilled the essentials.

Practice Makes Perfect: Tackled questions from two sources

1. PfMP Exam Practice Tests and Study Guide by Ginger Liven (via a cost-effective subscription on
Perlego)

2. Free question bank on www.examtopics.com (100+ questions for the win!)

Final Sprint: A quick scan of my notes and the book to cement concepts.

Walking into the exam room, nerves were on high alert. However, upon finishing the test, a
wave of uncertainty washed over me. The moment of truth arrived with the congratulatory
pop-up window. 🎓

Seek simplified Questions: Exam questions were not as long or complicated as I thought – focus
on clarity and understanding of the tools

Choosing Resources: Skip Ginger Liven's complex book – exam questions were quite
straightforward.

A game-changer for me? Real-world portfolio management practice that let me relate to the
concepts. Though I champion this, I hope PMI updates the exam version soon. The third
edition standard doesn't align with the practical fourth edition.

This achievement means the world to me . Joining the elite ranks with fewer than 1500 certified
worldwide is exhilarating! 🌍 If you've got the prerequisites, don't hesitate to aim for this prestigious
