Pursuit of Excellence

Arnel Dahilan, 13 years old was bright and determined grade 7 student who possessed a
desiring thirst for knowledge. Despite the challenges that life had thrown his way, Arnel's
unbeatable spirit and relentless pursuit of excellence propelled him forward.
Arnel’s family belonged to the 4Ps program, a government initiative designed to support
economically disadvantaged families. His parents worked tirelessly to make ends meet, often
struggling to provide the basic necessities. The mother of Arnel is a storekeeper of the SLPA and
the father is a fisherman. However, they understood the importance of education and encouraged
Arnel to study hard, knowing it was his key to a brighter future.

Arnel's school, named Inobulan Elementary School, recognized his exceptional academic
abilities from an early age. The teachers were astounded by his sharp intellect and unmatched
determination. With each passing year, Arnel's achievements began to accumulate. During his
First and second grade, He received the Highest Honor and awarded as Best in Mathematics
because he participated the Metrobank-MTAP-DepEd Math Challenge. His enthusiasm for
mathematics was infectious, and soon his classmates developed a newfound love for numbers.
For the third grade, Arnel's writing skills blossomed. He poured his heart and soul into each
essay, crafting stories that transported his readers to other schools. His English teacher
recognized his exceptional talent and awarded him as Best in English.
As the years flew by, Arnel's accomplishments continued to multiply. He excelled in
Grade 6, he received with HIGH HONORS and a 2 nd placer as Pagsulat ng Sanaysay in the
school, Service Awardee, Conduct Awardee and a Medal of Appreciation by Vice Governor.

Despite his remarkable achievements, Arnel never lost touch with his roots. He remained
humble and grounded, valuing his education as a means to uplift his family and community. He
knew that his success was not just his own but a collective effort, supported by his parents,
teachers, and the 4Ps program.
